I received an email Conte Nast for a receipt if payment for $80.02. Who the hell is Conde Nast?!! I waited for my Chase statement to arrive to try and figure who this company was. The charge missed the cutoff. I looked up the email again and called customer service. The charge was for Architectural Digest auto- renewal. I don't like this magazine and would have never authorized an auto renewal. Customer service finally canceled the renewal for next year but would not refund the $80.02 because the charge already posted. This is a scammy way to do business. Not happy.

Twice already I had problems with subscriptions. Once, with The New Yorker there was no hint of the connection between subscribed journal and payment details. This time, I cannot access my Wired subscription while payments are deducted. The WHOLE consumer communication is done by bots who under different names pretend to be humans who write emails, but in reality what happens is ZILCH all. This goes on now for nearly 3 weeks and since I cancelled my subscription I don't expect any further reaction. Dealing with this firm carries a big risk of simply losing the money.

1. They cancelled my subscription to House & Gardens without notifying me. When I rang, their customer server team claimed that my bank had refused the payment. This is untrue. My bank notifies me whenever a payment is refused. Even if they had refused the payment, why on earth do they not have a procedure in place to notify the customer that their payment was refused? Do they not want to keep their customers? 2. When I rang to renew the subscription, I was told the price was £29 per year. I explicitly questioned this, saying I am in France. I was told that this was the correct price. 3. I then received an email from someone, saying that the correct price was £59, did I want to proceed. I replied yes and, some time later, I received an automated email saying I had to ring their customer service dept again. I did this and was told that I could have a subscription for 1 year for £59 or a subscription for two years for £99. Which would I like. I CLEARLY STATED TWO YEARS and this was confirmed back to me. 4. I see on my bank app that they have debited me £59 TWICE, not £99.

Worst subscription service I have ever used. They are glad to take your money, but then, when they don't deliver your magazine, they make it impossible to contact anyone, and don't respond to multiple emails. I finally gave up and instructed my credit card company to cancel the payment. This is the second time I have had a problem with them. Never again. I have no idea how they can stay in business by treating customers this way.

Absolut amateurhaftes Unternehmen. 30 Jahre Kundentreue zählt gar nichts, hauptsache Mahngebühren verlangen. Finger weg, bevor Sie sich diese verbrennen.

Conde Nast's user interface is the WORST I have ever seen. I've had problems maintaining subscription profiles for many years, and have finally given up. I've cancelled all three of my subscriptions. One would think a company as big as Conde Nast could manage programming online support across multiple subscriptions.

Als langjähriger Abokunde wurde versucht mich über den Tisch zu ziehen. Telefonische Vereinbarungen wurden nicht eingehalten, Emails nicht beantwortet und Mahngebühren verlangt! Entweder ist man wirklich amateurhaft im Kundenservice aufgestellt oder es handelt sich um eine Betrugsmasche. Daher mein Rat; Finger weg von einem Abo dort!
