I’ve been a mentor on Codementor for over two months and have consistently received 5-star ratings from my mentees. Recently, I was asked to verify my payment method, and I promptly submitted the required documents, including an unedited photo of my credit card and ID as requested. However, to my surprise, my account was suddenly disabled this past Saturday without any explanation or follow-up communication. I’ve always strived to maintain professionalism and deliver value on the platform, so this unexpected action is both disappointing and confusing.

The 3rd time I've tried without making a hire, after previously hiring 2 times. The platform is excellent, but mentors are clueless; they "think" they can do things and approach this as troubleshooting like they're on the job, when I'm looking for someone with exact experience, and I'm just getting a lot of noise.

Too expensive. Most mentors are from overseas, and they charge more than a student in the US or Canada would charge. $20 for 15 minutes. My mentor was very nice but she took her time helping me. I'll seek help from the local schools.

I'm new to Codementor and have never used the site before. I chose one of the available mentors to complete a task by 15th April. The work that they originally provided me was half-complete and didn't follow the specification that I set out in the job description. After communicating this with them their language via chat hasn't been polite or helpful at all. I have tried to contact Codementor support via email and Twitter(X), but no one seems to reply at all. Poor selection of instructors. I've posted a job on codementor but the level of quality isn't great for intermediate. I was looking at a mentor to help in desktop development as I was coming from the web. The responses I had were that they were 'experts' but when I asked them basic questions about multithreading or managing threads they didn't bother responding or gave the wrong answer. Even with basic questions on async/await I was then told to use signalr to manage background tasks 🤦‍♂️. The answer was pretty simple and was not even related to desktop, it was in c#. I'm not sure if they should be claiming to be experts on the framework and couldn't answer this basic question. One instructor I had was asking to do a session to try it out but he couldn't answer the questions I asked him. I felt a bit disappointed and disgusted with the high fees and poor quality of mentors on the job request. I think it's only good for juniors instead of intermediate.
