I didn't even get my furniture in South Carolina for over 7 days after I moved.. the worst corrupt company I've ever dealt with in my life be very weary and careful.. they promise you the world and give you nothing but crap after they get your cash.. and their customer service is so arrogant you actually feel them laughing with their tone of voice.. be very careful with this company..

Absolutely horrible experience. I was quoted for my 10x10 storage unit and came upon a price after a couple phone calls. To be sure I even payed more because I wanted to make sure there was enough space for my items. The sales man Steven and the workers that called were so nice and helpful and seemed like they would do anything to get my business. They stated I needed to pay a down payment before and then the rest at the day of delivery and it had to be cash or certified cashiers check. I agreed upon the estimated delivery and sent the money. The day of delivery the driver was an hour and a half past the estimated delivery window. Okay fine I dont care but some communication would have been helpful. I show up and I unlock the storage units and the man unfortunately doesn't speak English so communication was difficult. He took pictures and then started loading the items. I was shocked there was not two people but he said no stairs no problem. Easy for only one person. I felt bad for him so I went to the gas station and bought him some water and a Gatorade. He was very helpful and loaded all my items. But at the end before he leaves he states I need to cash app or zelle him but I won't have to pay on delivery date. I ask him how much anticipating it would be slightly more then the estimate because that's always how it is. Companies will charge you for anything for some extra money and he was nice and used some of his own boxes and tape to pack some items up that were not packed. I ask him the total and he said 4780 on top of the 2200 I already paid. excuse me! ? My estimate was around 4500 and now it's over 7000 dollars!? I did not have double the items to charge that much. For reference it was a 10x10 storage unit. All from a 500 square foot studio apartment. One mattress, one dresser, one book shelf, the rest boxes. And my price goes up nearly DOUBLE? Also I have to cash app? So me being alone in the dark with all my stuff in the back of this man's truck at 10:30 pm at a closed storage unit because he showed up by himself an hour and a half late payed him out of fear. I called customer service right away they said someone would reach out to me. No one called. The next day I called again and same thing... Someone would reach out to me. I texted the sales man that was sooooo nice before and said to reach out to him if I ever had questions or needed anything but I got no response back. So now I'm pretty sure my stuff is gone and I may never get it back. It seems like the moving company uses 3rd party movers and split the money. Well the company got their portion from me as the down payment so now it's crickets because hey they already got my money right? They don't care. And the 3rd party delivery man made me sign papers that wernt filled out prior to him loading items and then put in the cost after so the very very rude customer service manager that needs a lesson on customer service told me it's my fault. I nearly never leave bad reviews but this company is by far the worst experience I've ever delt with in my life. My boyfriend moved his 5 bedroom house from Colorado to Florida for 4500 using a different company. My 500 square foot apartment from Oklahoma to florida is almost 8000? I am appauled. I would have packed it up myself and driven a uhaul or honestly sold everything and rebuy it in florida if I knew it was going to cost that much! I was given no receipt. No verification of what I was charged for and no one has reached out to me. Might I add it even says on their own website what the estimated cost would be for a two bedroom and the milage and according to their own website Im paying more money then their max. UPDATE: It's now been 6 weeks and I still do not have my items and the management at coastal moving services doesn't care because we'll I've reached do it plenty of times and keep getting told someone will reach out to me and shocker no one does. The only person that has been helpful has been Sam from customer service. She has been the only empathetic and helpful person at the company. I've reached out multiple times for a receipt and still have not received one from the delivery team. The delivery team every week tells me next week or the weekend and each week they don't show up. They even gave me a two day window and still didn't call or show up. And then when I call asking where they are they don't answer I even try texting them and I receive no texts. June 28th was my pick up. It's now August 7th without my items with my delivery fee paid in full already. Who knows if I'll ever even get my items.

Gave a low quote, took a non refundable deposit that they told me would be refundable(I specifically asked this question), and used a 3rd party company that even added more to the cost, and by the end of our move the price just about doubled. The movers that picked up our stuff put a large hole in one of our walls and didn't say one word to us! Thankfully, my husband was able to patch and stucco it, but if he didn't have the ability to do that, we would have had to file a claim, which they told us to do(3rd party company) and wait for it to be fixed. Who has time to wait for it to be fixed when the new owners are moving in a day later, come on!! STAY AWAY!! and remember read your contracts before you sign anything because they won't be honest with you up front! I repeat, stay away!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They sent 1 mover to facilitate my 1,000 mile move from Washington state to California and that's the care they feel your personal belongings deserve. I refused to let this proceed and lost my $1,800 deposit, save yourself the headache and spend a little more money and book a brand name mover. When It was all said and done I got an entire team from Colonial Van Lines (professional movers) for $1,000 more than Coastal's price which gave me peace of mind.

I was lied to a deceived by booking agent. I informed representative, Will that the deposit was 100% refundable. I told him specifically I wasn’t ready to book and needed time to think about it as I didn’t even have the apartment rented yet. He told me not to worry the deposit was 100% refundable and he would extend that refundable deposit period from 72 hours to 7 days. He rushed me on the phone and wouldn’t give me time to read the fine print he summarizes the form for me. He reiterated the $1500 was fully refundable. I gave him my credit card information and the he decides to disclose immediately after that I clubs pay the remaining cost of the move on the credit card that it has to be vetoed gods or cash. I immediately requested a refund in writing via email. They refused to refund the full amount and says they always keep 10% of the deposit for a processing fee . So I was completely lied to. Who operates like that and allows their employees to completely deceives people just for a sale. Disgusting.

Horrible, we paid $2700 in advance and and extra $1100 for more boxes we needed moved - they showed up in a 27 foot moving truck trying to move a 4 bedroom house, they never moved us we disputed the charges and lost be cause it was a signed contract - don’t get ripped of - these guys are scam artists and will take your $$$$..

It looks like I am one of many people who have been scammed by Coastal Moving Services. Their business model is: "Give very low quote, collect non-refundable downpayment and then leave you to deal with third-party movers who have no obligation to honor the quote and are free to charge you double or - in my case - almost triple the quoted price."

Hello this company did not say that they were brokers up front. They use Loadrans/Rapid Express and our security at the gate did not even want to let them in because they were questionable. Security called me and also showed up to make sure I was safe. My husband was there. The movers showed up and immediately doubled the price they were late showing up and we had to get moved. Coastal when I called I ask for a pod and they said for a couple hundred dollars more we can move you. That was a lie. I have never had such a terrible experience and Coastal once they get their money they have nothing to do with you. The company they hired used semi’s that were not moving trucks and the budget vehicle they used to pick our belongings up did not have license plates. We did not receive all our things and they tried to get us to take things that were not ours. We refused. BEWARE.
