Coastal Moving Service is an absolute scam. They quoted me one price, then jacked it up at the last minute and refused to honor the original agreement. Save yourself the stress and go with a company that actually has integrity.

The company is a broker and has no visabilty on your move. they will quote low estimating fuel for the truck but don't figure in the cost of the following: ACTUAL SQ FT of items and number of boxes. STAIRS REPACKING- EVEN IF YOU PACK THEY REPACK AND CHARGE YOU ... THAT IS ADDED TO YOUR TOTAL TO SHIP THE DAY YOU MOVE. think about going to the airline and asking for your ticket to be printed thinking you bought economy and they say SORRY YOU ARR BEING MOVED TO FIRST CLASS AND HERE IS YOUR NEW AIRFARE PRICE. the broker schedules a moving LLc logistics.... SHADDY... and removed my things from utah to CALIFORNIA... eve tough my destination was WISCONSIN. AFTER THE carrier LOADRUNS LLC trucking rerouted my load and then took an extra week to deliver was beyond me . I asked them to deliver 1st possible date and they delivered a week later. all my wedding items were on the truck and I had to buy everything again. BS! I had planned for a week before my wedding for then to arrive and they still were late. then when they did deliver the driver did not have a lift gate and the two movers contracted by this poor quality broker were left to move items that they did not expect and will most likely file WC against the broker North American or Mayflower are a better route. while expensive atleastbyou don't have surprises. Would never recommend Coastal moving Services and would never recommend penske or loadruns LLC SHAME

Terrible company in every way. They quoted the move at $4k after asking questions of sqft feet, how may bedrooms and how many peoples things. When they showed up to load it up they said it going to be a extra $3500 and had to be paid in Cash. They gave us a arrival day and it ended up being over a week after they said it was going to be. Worst part of it was that my wife's wedding dress was in it that she was supposed to get married in. Its a big deal to find a new dress in 3 days before. They also didnt tell us it was a extra charge for more then 7 steps.

Biggest SCAM going…. Give you a low ball price at first then by the time comes for pick up the price doubles….never ever use a broker…..too many hands involved…

THe WORST ever! I specifically asked if they were a broker, and Eric outright lied. I told them they should come see the home to give a proper quote, and he chided me that he's done this for years and he knows what he's doing. Yes he does, he knows he is ripping off people left and right!!! He told me they were one of the largest moving companies in the country, and it turns out they are only a rip off broker and overcharged me approx 3k prior to even the actual moving costs. I called to add a few items to move and each time they charged my credit card for the additional items, yet they did not relay to the actual mover these changes and so they ended up charging me an additional 3k, so it ended u costing me well over 8k for the move when the quote was around 5k. DO NOT use these crooks. THen to see them advertise on UTUBE made me sick. They put on the fake happy clients and watching them defraud the public even further made me sick so I thought Id report them to save others from the horrible experience I had with these crooks. LYING, cheating, and by far the worst move Ive ever had. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! ERic is a smooth talker so stay away!

Horrible experience with this company. Don't bother! The price increased after my belongings were already in route. Once the delivery truck was close, they demanded an extra $500 saying they didn't realize their truck couldn't get into my apartment complex. My delivery address did not change, but their price did. They said if I didn't pay the new fee, my belongings would be tossed. Do yourself a favor and use anyone else but Coastal Moving!

This company will scam the shit out of you. They gave us an estimate based on our stuff of 400 cubic feet. The day that they picked it up, they changed their estimate to 750 cubic feet and upped our price by several thousand dollars. Neither of the guys who picked up our stuff spoke fluent English, so it made it difficult to fact-check. At delivery, I had to meet them with a 15’ U-Haul because they couldn't get their truck onto my street. A 15' U-Haul is 764 cubic feet, top to bottom, front to back. Our stuff filled half of it, so they overestimated and therefore overcharged us by at least 350 cubic feet. After emailing and speaking with Coastal on the phone, they provided every excuse imaginable as to why that was the case and refused to assist me further or let me speak to a manager. Additionally, our items weren't isolated from the other items as they claimed they would be in the delivery truck. The driver (who also didn't speak English very well) literally had to ask me if certain things belonged to us. We ended up with someone else's laundry basket. Additionally, they hand-pick the FEW 5-star reviews they have to put on the website.

Used Coastal Moving Services for my move. After all my stuff was picked up (Saturday, August 16), I was told it would be at destination a week from my first available date (8/22 so should be at destination by 8/29). I got a call the following Wednesday (8/20) saying my move was being loaded and would arrive in 4-5 days. 5 days later, nothing. I call and ask when its coming and they say it never got loaded because the driver cancelled so now it wouldn't be loaded until Thursday (8/28) and would arrive Saturday or Sunday (a day or 2 after the date I was given as the last possible date it would arrive). No one ever bothered to update me, no phone call, nothing. I tell them I start work Friday and ask if they can try to get it there sooner. They say "we'll see what we can do." Again, I get no update until I call Wednesday and they say it'll be loaded Thursday (I'd bet all the money I have they did not make the slightest effort to get it there sooner). Get the text Thursday saying its loaded and will be there in 3-4 days and I'll get a call 24 hours before (8/31 or 9/1. Now several days after the "last possible arrival" date I was given. Now we're on day 3 and still no call saying it'll be here by tomorrow so I'm once again calling them for an update on what the delay is this time, when they should be calling me about the delays, AND THERE SHOULDN'T BE THIS MANY DELAYS!!!!!! We're now over a week after when I as told my things would arrive and several days after what I was given as the "last possible arrival" dates. I'm getting no updates unless I call (and when I do its always a 20 minute ordeal to get anyone who knows what they're talking about. Will NEVER use them for a move again
