This company needs to be on the off-limits list for the army.
I am currently in the process of having this business listed on the off limits list for WA state, JBLM army base. I booked a move, and in less than 24 hours I tried to cancel. The company would not refund my nearly $4000 deposit. Minus the 10% fee as clearly stated on their website. After arguing with them, they finally agreed to return half of my deposit, which I am sure will always be “in the mail”.

TRAIN WRECK
I hired this company to move my furniture and it was a complete train wreck from start to finish. Let's start with the first phone call to get the move setup. The secretary Victor answered my call and took my information to give me an estimate. I told him I'd call him back after 2pm to take care of the payment. At 2pm he called me but I was in a meeting so I didn't answer. He called again and I texted him I'd call him back before they closed. He then texted me and I told him relax I was going to call him back.Fast forward to moving day. The company gave me a 2pm-5pm window for arrival. At 4pm the guy called me and told me he was running late and that he wouldn't be to my house until 7pm because the company had him on another job. Then he calls back and says he doesn't have room in his truck he would have to get a U-haul to move my goods. He asked could he come tomorrow. I said yes. He says let's meet at my storage unit at 7am. I agreed. He then calls me shortly after 7 to say he sent a text message telling me that he wouldn't be to my house until 9. Then he gets there and he's alone. He starts his assessment of what needs to get loaded on the truck. The company gave me 50 boxes for packing. They never said I needed to pack the boxes myself. So they guy tells me there's going to be an uncharge to pack my loose items. He continues to say that he would need to go get the materials to pack. At that point im done with this company. You didn't get there on time, you weren't prepared, you have an attitude and you were shady from the first impression. So I fired them and got safe ship moving and storage to do the job. They did a phenomenal job. Save your money and get it done right start to finish.

Worse experience in my life
If I could give zero stars, I would. While customer service was semi-helpful, the actual moving process was a nightmare.
It started with the movers showing up 6 hours late, forcing them to work until midnight. Despite most of our items being packed and ready, the price increased drastically from the original quote. To make matters worse, the helpers demanded a $200 tip each—an outrageous request given the service.
We had an agreement to keep our belongings in storage until we found a home. Despite being in constant email communication, they suddenly decided to ship everything without warning. We were forced to scramble to find our own storage unit. To add insult to injury, the driver delayed delivery by 4 days, which cost us significantly in lost wages (PTO) while we waited.
When the items finally arrived, multiple boxes were crushed and broken. My white couch, which had been wrapped in plastic, arrived with the wrapping gone and the fabric exposed. It is now so filthy I don’t even know if it can be cleaned.
I’ve called multiple times; while they gave me the transport company's info, nothing has been resolved. I have moved as far as Europe and back, and I have never experienced such incompetence. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them!

I wish I give ZERO star .Don’t go with this company please . They gave us a price to move us $4000 for three bedrooms, and when they arrived they showed with a designated space for my furniture for one bedroom and can’t take the other rooms unless we pay extra $2000. Please save your time and money and stay away from this company please .

CAUTION for Bait and Switch
CAUTION, this is a Bait and Switch company. Coastal Movers provided me with an original estimate that was almost 4x lower than the actual cost. During the initial call, I provided them with the dimensions of my stuffed storage shed that was to be moved (10'x20'x8' high, which comes out to 1,600 cubic feet), they quoted me a little over $4,000 (but, unknown to me, they had only estimated 431 cubic feet). An initial non-refundable deposit was required at this time in order to move forward in their process. When the quality control member called me to give an estimate according to photos (just two days before the scheduled move was to occur), the price jumped to ~$10,400 and there was no way to get the deposit back—I had to choose to either move forward or lose my ~$1,700 deposit. Feeling stuck, being so near to the moving date, I agreed to move forward and they required another ~$2,500 to continue. The move has not yet happened, I will update this post after that time.
UPDATE: On moving day a logistics company showed up with a rented 1,700 cubic foot U-haul truck and two laborers they got off of CraigsList that morning (who had never worked in moving before). The logistics company worker did an estimate of his own and thought the total cubic footage to be closer to 2,000 cubic feet. He called Coastal Movers who called me back with a new price of ~$16,000 (4x the original estimate of ~$4,000). They again asked for more money to go forward in the process and I finally pulled the plug—every time I spoke with them the price went up about $5,000. At this point I have paid them about $4,280 and they refused to refund any of that money. That evening I contacted my credit card company, the one I had used to pay Coastal, and told them my story. They agreed to take the Coastal Movers charge off my bill for now while they investigate the matter. In the meantime, I had another company move my belongings and it came out to just over 1,600 cubic feet—the exact number I gave Coastal Movers from the beginning! It is currently being moved for $7,500 which seems like a fair price for this time of the year (January). I will update this post as events continue to open.

Coastal moving services is deceitful
Coastal moving services told me they were not brokers, gave me a binding estimate and stated my price would only go up if I had an elephant I didnt mention. Quality assurance called 2 days before pick up to go over my inventory once more. I added a few boxes and a mirror. I was told it would be an additional $1500. I was upset but reassured that my price would not go up anymore and said the same line about the elephant. Movers come and it is not coastal, they lied about being a broker. The movers said I was quoted 672 cubic feet but I had 1020 cubic feet so it was an additional $1600. The cubic ft was grossly underestimated and my $4300 move is now $7500. I still have not received my things. When I called to state my complaint I was met with 0 empathy and told I should have went with pods, UhAul or sold my things if I couldnt afford them.

RUN don't Walk AWAY FROM THIS… BOGUS COMPANY
RUN don't Walk AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY...
IF I could give them NO STAR it would be accurate
Absolutely, Horrible experience – seriously not recommended...
I hired Coastal Moving Services (Boca Raton, FL) for my move from Greensboro, NC to Wilmington, NC only
3 hours away.. it was a complete nightmare. They were scheduled to arrive between 9–10 AM, but didn’t show up until 3 PM — in an unmarked truck, with a Team I could barely communicate with.
On top of the extreme delay, their crew damaged multiple antique furniture heirlooms, broke lamps and pictures, and ripped the flooring while removing items from my apartment. This was supposed to be a professional move, but instead they were careless & unprofessional towards the handling of my belongings & this move, Items & property were mistreated and banged around. COASTAL evidently sub contracted SAL'S MOVING COMPANY FROM RALEIGH, that showed up 5 hours late in an unmarked Black Truck (rather sketchy) and not what I expected in any stretch of the imagination.
Broken Pieces of Items were HANDED to me at delivery:0 and I was appalled to be told this is how they were when they took them from the apartment I was vacating (absolute lie).
They charged me more than DOUBLE what I was Quoted...
I filed a complaint with documented pictures as I was told to do with the 3rd Party they told me to contact and was offered $70 for DAMAGE To 3 HEIRLOOM ANTIQUES, Set of Vintage Crystal & decorative Brass Lamps & destroyed the Wood top of my Bench, broke the frame of a picture. I refused the insulting offer as there is no way any of my items can be replaced or repaired for that measly amount.
I’ve seen other complaints online about similar issues with this company — damaged items, price changes, and poor communication — and my experience reflects that pattern. I strongly caution anyone considering them for a move.

Where do I start with this company that…
Where do I start with this company that eventually made pay $18,000. Coastal asked for what was going in the home and I told him stuff in the kitchen (just a refrigerator), living room 2 recliners, large curio cabinet, TV, 2 parrot stands, and some boxes. This was a 1525sq Ft 3 BR 2 Baths and a garage lived there for 25years.!so a long story cluster, Costal Moving was rude to me and blamed this all on me. I was also told that the delivery of my furniture etc I would not be charged NOT I now have to pay the movers almost $9,000, total move from start (estimated $3202.00 Coastal) total paid to these scammers is $21,070.00!!!!! Maybe those of us that have similar complaints can see about a class action suit!!!! I highly recommend NO ONE use this company… !
