Started off fine. Finally picked up my merchandise. Moving from Kelso, Washington to Great Falls, Montana. Told them we didn't have an address for them to deliver to so they put March 7th which was 30 days. Told me that when we got the address, let them know and they would deliver to the address. Told me it would take 5 to 7 days to get to Great Falls. They said it would be placed in a climate controlled storage facility in Great Falls. WRONG!!! It is still somewhere in Washington State, if that's true. Started on February 16th wanting to get the merchandise delivered. Gave them the delivery address on February 17th. Have called 10 or 11 times since then to their subcontractor loadrans llc. Haven't spoken to the same person twice, been given the run around and more excuses than you can imagine. Even got hung up on. Still won't give me a time frame for delivery. It needs to be in Great Falls the week of Februar 23rd. Have also been charged an exorbitant amount.
I am beyond frustrated. Everyone please DO NOT USE EITHER ONE OF THESE COMPANIES and give them both 1 star. If there were negative numbers it would be minus150 rating

Worst experience I’ve ever had with any business
Liars. Cheats. Thieves. There are not enough words in the English language to appropriately describe the pieces of trash that make up this company. They will lock you into a purposely, negligently low rate then upcharge you to no end at time of pick up. I am writing this review at 2:30 am because I am simply too mad to sleep. This is a dishonest, willfully negligent company. They will sell you a false bill of goods and do so with a smile. Snake oil salesmen. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Simple as that, this is not a company you should use. You will be cheated out of your hard earned dollars. It is a trap. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE DO BUSINESS WITH COASTAL MOVING. Once more DO NOT USE THESE LYING, CHEATING, IMMORAL PIECES OF GARBAGE FOR ANYTHING.

RAISED BILL FROM 1,100 to 3,000
I specifically asked for full service. I clarified that I would get packing, moving (8 blks) and unpacking. I had never been able to afford unpacking in my life and was willing to pay the fee for it. I was quoted and paid by credit card 1?196 that day. A few days later they said I'd have a call with "Quality Assurance" to make sure their workers did what I wanted. We went down a list of all furniture. I removed big items (a bed, a rug, a dining set) and added one garment box. Quality Assurance said the adjusted fee went UP $775.99. I reluctantly paid it over the phone. A few days after that Coastal Moving Services said I needed to pay $530.08 at pickup and 530.08 at drop off. I could only use a money order or cash or zelle "because the move was all done in one day. That was a major inconvenience and again unfair price gauging. The men packed my things carelessly (throwing things like art in boxes together unwrapped, they forgot the 3 garment boxes I paid for and I discovered my hanging clothes thrown in the bottom of boxes covered with non-clothing items. They asked for the second money order of $530.08. I said I'd give it to them after they unpacked my things, they told me they DONT UNPACK. The moving co itemized what they'd packed and charged me for $185.00 because he said Coastal had under estimated my items.
This is the WORST , LYING, UNFAIR, CORRUPT, GREEDY company I have ever worked with in my life. SAVE YOURSELF AND CHOOSE A DIFFERENT MOVING BROKER.

BEWARE OF THESE COMPANIES
Where do I begin? PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. When moving I would recommend using a local company which I made the mistake by not doing.
I moved from Tennessee to Alabama 6 months ago. I had stupidly deposited $2900. The day of the move they contracted a moving company (another scam) out of Charlotte, NC who were hours away from my residence. The scheduled time was a 3pm & they did not arrive until 6pm. I refused to have them move me but the deposit was non refundable!
The movers destroyed most of my personal property especially several antique pieces. Claim was filed but no response! Unable to contact “Moving Hub” only via email! (Imagine that)
Oh by the way, all the moving crew were from Russia!!!!
Needless to say, I am very upset about this moving experience.
Of course Coastal Moving Services take no responsibility!

Predatory, dishonest, and borderline extortion
Coastal Moving Service is the classic moving scam wrapped in a professional-looking website.
We booked through Coastal at an agreed price. After our belongings were picked up and already in their possession, we suddenly got a call on delivery day saying the truck “couldn’t fit on our street” in San Francisco and we now owed $800 MORE or they would not unload our items.
Let me be clear:
They had our address the entire time. They even admitted their massive semi-sized truck doesn’t fit on most SF streets. Somehow this only became an “issue” once our belongings were being held hostage.
Even worse, they refused credit cards for the surprise fee and pushed for cash/Zelle only. Huge red flag.
This wasn’t a misunderstanding. This was a coordinated bait-and-switch.
When we pushed back and cited the contract, they stalled, pressured, and implied we wouldn’t get our things back without paying. It escalated to the point where we literally had to call the police to mediate before they would finally back down and proceed.
No legitimate company operates this way.
If you value your money, your belongings, and your sanity — avoid Coastal Moving Service at all costs. There are countless stories like this for a reason. What should’ve been a simple move turned into stress, intimidation, and a near extortion situation.
Save yourself the nightmare.

They are a broker, not a mover
Do not hire Coastal Moving Services or their partner Plymouth Van Lines. I want to make sure I put that up front before going into detail. I have moved across country twice before. Both times I used a company called Oz Moving, which I highly recommend. They are a little bit more expensive, but they will not change companies two days before or upcharge you on move day. My review is long, but I wanted to make sure to give you all enough information to not make my same mistake. Also, it is important to note that this is the first negative review I have ever written.
The company I initially called to handle my move was called "Coastal Moving Services". I booked my move two months in advance. I spoke to coastal moving multiple times during this two- month period. They regularly represented themselves as the company that would be directly handling my move. They initially quoted $4300 with the professional packing service. They also said they could get me my items in around ten days. They never represented themselves as a broker or even used the word broker.
I checked in with CMS every few weeks to make sure everything was on track. They constantly reassured me everything was going great. I asked them questions about how they and their movers did things. They never once said “We are not the movers. We are a simply a broker”. They answered my questions as if they would be moving me. In fact, a week before my move I received a call, from CMS, saying they made a mistake two months earlier and they would need to raise my price significantly. I was annoyed, but I realized it was too late to change companies. After a long conversation and the removal of about a third of the items on my list, the price was about $5,000. I even asked him if there was anything else I should know before move day, which would have been a great opportunity to come clean, but I got nothing.
Two days before my move, I received a call from Plymouth Van Lines to tell me they would be handling my move. I had never heard of Plymouth Van Lines, I did not hire Plymouth Van Lines and I did not want Plymouth Van Lines. When I asked what happened to Coastal Moving, PVL said that they were a "broker". I was horrified. Again, at no point did Coastal represent themselves as a broker or mention this would happen. They never mentioned the PVL company in any way. It was two days before my move and I had no choice but to go with PVL. PVL was a nightmare and another review on its own.

Absolutely horrible
Absolutely horrible. Have a quote which they said was binding. After all of my items were packed on the truck they charged me another 1000 saying the original quote was wrong. Then I had to pay even more to get my items because they made up another lie. I filed a claim and they settled for $50. Avoid at all costs.
