Absolutely a scam. Movers got here and said I need another truck. They only took about a third of what was written on my contract. No boxes, paintings, only the furniture. Wanted an extra 16 thousand to move the rest of my stuff, even their so called experts determined the amount of space I needed. I am a disabled veteran, needed to check into a hospital next week for treatment. It is the reason we are moving. Now im going to miss at least a week of treatment, maybe more. My luck the week will kill me. I get to go rent a uhaul and move myself, which I should have done myself. I just had my 23 surgery since coming home from Iraq, a knee replacement. Packing a moving truck sounds so fun. Thank you coastal moving for charging me 14 thousand for a single box truck to move 750 miles to west virginia. If you chose this company be prepared for an absolute joke coming your way.

They are they stole over $2000 worth of item, damaged all wooden furniture. Lied about it all. The sub contractor they use lied as well. They are so good at screwing people the BBB was useless

Everything thing went wrong. The scam started with the supervisor trying to scam me out of an additional $1,200 dollars to move my items and if I cancelled I would lose my $1,100Idollara I paid initially. Most of my items were crushed, marked, damaged and/or missing. Additionally, I was delivered five items (boxes) that do not belong to me. This coming a company who does 800 moves per month. Now, I cannot anybody to contact me about my claim for missing and damaged items. Giving this company one star rate is 10 times better than what you deserve.

Never had a worst experience. If I could give this company negative stars or report them somehow I would. The showed up, added 5k to my original quote. I tried calling the salesman, Scott, who I worked with and still 2 weeks later never got a response despite voicemails and texts. Then, they don't deliver my furniture during the window I was promised from Scott. We had to go out and buy blow up mattress, clothes, etc. just to get by. They show up eventually and HALF of my furniture is broken and every box looks like it was thrown off a truck or hit with a baseball bat. I have absolutely no faith any of it will be reimbursed either. My king bedframe- shattered. Nightstands- shattered. BBQ stand- shattered. The list goes on. Can't believe I hired this scam of a company. BEWARE!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! STAY AWAY!!! Also, be warned that they are posting fake reviews on Google Maps and threaten to charge you more for your move if you don't write a 5 star review with them watching! There have been two major issues so far and I will update this review as more issues arise. 1) While I was signing the contract onsite they asked what my first available delivery date was. I told them 4/28. They showed me the contract with that date on their iPad and then took the iPad back and changed the screen to a place to sign. While they did that they also changed the first available delivery date to 5/1 without telling. Which brings me to complaint number two. 2) I was given a quote of 5-7 business days for my delivery. Apparently the "industry standard" is that the count down doesn't start when the goods are collected but instead from the first available delivery date. This means that by changing the contract date to 5/1 while I wasn't looking they paused the count down for the guarantee. This 4 business day delay has completely screwed up my moving schedule is causing me tons of problems. These two issues alone would have been enough to drop my review score but to make it worse their customer service is completely uninterested and don't care about the problems in the slightest. When I told them that the rep changed the contract behind my back they didn't even acknowledge it and just said that they would give me an updated delivery date once I had one. This behavior is utterly beyond the pale and completely unacceptable.

Getting any meaningful response became nearly impossible — crickets when I needed support most. When things went wrong during the move and I called Coastal for help, I was met not with assistance but with threats. Their customer service representative told me it was illegal to record our conversation because she was located in Florida, a two-party consent state. Rather than focusing on resolving a dispute their broker arrangement had created, they led with intimidation. What makes companies like Coastal Moving Services so dangerous is that most people don’t move frequently. They prey on customers who are acting in good faith but simply don’t know enough about the moving industry to spot the red flags. By the time you realize what’s happening, your belongings are already loaded on a truck and you have very little leverage. Coastal Moving Services is a scam operation that contracts with other scam operations. They are charming until they have your money, then they leave you to fend for yourself against whatever carrier they’ve assigned — with no accountability and no support. Do your research before booking any moving broker.

I had an extremely disappointing and stressful experience with Coastal Moving Service, and I would strongly caution anyone considering using them. What was presented to me as a professional, full-service moving company turned out to be a disorganized and deceptive operation. I booked a move for a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment, which included packing services for approximately 70 boxes. After paying and confirming my move, the company unexpectedly changed my move date and outsourced my job to a third-party crew without my knowledge or consent. On the day of the move, the movers arrived after 5:30 PM PST, already putting me behind schedule. It was immediately clear they were not prepared. They had no accurate understanding of the job, no awareness of the packing services I had already paid for, and were not equipped to handle the move as agreed. Instead of honoring the contract, they refused to complete the job and demanded an additional $5,000 to proceed. This felt like a clear bait-and-switch tactic—quote a lower price upfront, then attempt to dramatically increase the cost once the customer is in a vulnerable position. To make matters worse, Coastal Moving Service later falsely reported that I refused the move. That is completely untrue. The movers refused to do the job unless I agreed to pay significantly more than what was originally contracted. This experience wasted my time, disrupted my plans, and caused unnecessary stress. It also appears this company misrepresents job details not only to customers but also to the third-party movers they hire. I am now seeking a full refund and have filed formal complaints. I strongly advise others to do thorough research and proceed with caution before booking with this company. The representative responsible for the booking was Daniel.

I was pressured into sending additional payments through Venmo outside of the original agreement just for them to transport my belongings. After that, I continued to receive calls requesting even more money, which felt completely inappropriate and dishonest. Communication was also a major issue. Every time I reached out for updates on my delivery, they were rude, dismissive, and would often hang up without providing any real information. It was incredibly frustrating not knowing where my belongings were or when they would arrive. The most concerning part of this experience was that my items were essentially held hostage until I firmly stated that I would pursue legal action and involve law enforcement. Only then did they proceed with delivery. This experience felt deceptive, stressful, and completely unprofessional. I would not recommend Coastal Moving or LOADRANS to anyone. Please be cautious and consider other companies.
