My first impression of Cliradex was very strong odor of essential oil you are using. Second, after applying the first time my lower lid was so irritated that I was needed to see the doctor. I am so upset from using your product then I want my money back.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand your concern and want to reassure you there is nothing wrong with the product. Cliradex is a safe product. Cliradex is a natural, preservative-free eyelid, lash, and facial cleanser formulated from the main component of tea tree oil, 4-Terpineol (T4O). A tingling sensation is a common occurrence with tea tree oil. If it felt more like a sting/burn, please be assured that it goes away after few applications. • If you're feeling a burning sensation, your skin may be compromised or wounded. Do not use Cliradex. It may sting similar to putting alcohol on a wound. The same is possible if you use Cliradex on already irritated or open skin. • If you develop symptoms such as itching, swelling, or excessive dryness, this may indicate an allergic reaction/hypersensitivity to T40 (especially if they have a known sensitivity to fragrances). Here are a few tips if you have sensitive skin: 1- Avoid using Cliradex right after bathing. Skin pores may be exfoliated and are more exposed than usual. 2- Wipe gently with Cliradex. 3- Avoid direct contact with your eyes. Keep eyelids gently closed when using Cliradex. We recommend that during the application: 1 - Closes eyes firmly without squinting too much. 2 - Gently wipe across the lid and surrounding skin. Don't try to press too much on your eyelid skin or into the eye's corner (caruncle). 3 - Allow it to air dry briefly (30s) before opening eyes. If your results don’t improve, then please do not continue to use Cliradex as you may have a skin allergy to essential oils. Also, when it comes to a gentler formula, we do have Cliradex Foam. The package was lost in delivery to me. It took 2 weeks to reach me. By that time, I no longer needed the product. Was able to find another product my physician had recommended otc.

I was very excited to get & try this. But I was very disappointed when I tried it. It made my face & eyelid area feel like it was burning & stinging all day, made my eyes water, the smell was not pleasant at all, And the smell would stay with me all day long. I think I'll stick to using OCuSOFT products instead.

We recommend that during the application you: 1) Close your eyes firmly. 2) Gently wipe the foam or towelette across the lid and surrounding eye area without pressing it too hard on the eye or into the corners of the eye. 3) Allow the foam or solution to air-dry briefly (15-30 seconds) before opening your eyes. While our products are natural, safe, and effective, we realize that some people are allergic to essential oils. If you continue to experience a reaction, please discontinue the use of Cliradex.
