A few years ago a sign company leased me a digital sign using Direct Capital who paid the sales man the full amount up front, viloting the contract which called for 30% down, 30% on delivery, and 40% on completion. No sign was ever delivered so I am out $25000. When I complained to Direct Capital they admited they vilolated the terms of the contract . After several calls they stop taking my calls "I'll have some get back" For several years I have had to pay $484 a month. They even charged me buy insurance on sign, but stopped when I filed for a loss. Insurance company said you cant insure soething that does not exist. Lawyers here advise me that they will just drag this case out in court till I go bankrupt. Be very careful when dealing with Direct Capital. I think they and the sals man were working together

RIP OFF
All I have to say is just because you have done business with a company for over 10 years, don't get lazy in reviewing the numbers. CIT will rip you off every opportunity they get. Thank God for Fundera. Now I can shop everything. Not sure why CIT would get anything above a 2 star rating. I guess they only rip off their existing customers.

As long as they make money you are good.
I am a small business (2 employees) and financed a Brother Direct to Garment machine through Direct Capital (DC). DC faithfully took the payments out every month and I paid for their insurance. I paid for 18 months with no problems. On Nov 17th my machine suffered major damage and I file a claim. From there on out I got treated poorly. They delayed the claim which caused even more damage to the machine. (WHICH I EXPLAINED TO THEM ON DAY ONE WOULD HAPPEN). Then paid one contractor that Brother suggested and he was a nightmare and didn't fix machine completely and never came back to finish the job. And DC and ASSURANT would not assist me, said it wasn't their problem. So I drained my savings of $2500 and tried to salvage my machine but it didn't work completely. DC and Assurant insurance REFUSED TO REIMBURSE ME. Even though I sent written documentation from EXPERTS that what I did had to be done. Lisa L with DC kept telling me about "their bottom line" MEANTIME DC kept taking out the monthly amount I owed them and said it wasn't their problem that I was losing business. I ask for a deferment while the claim was open but was told if I missed a payment they would put a lien against my business. After 3 month of arguing and sending emails to everyone (including S LYNCH) Assurant Insurance (which DC sells to you) said they were paying the machine off but would NOT REIMBURSE ME ANY MONEY - not one penny of the $2500 or the 3 $400 payments that I made while trying to get them to do their jobs. So I now own a broken machine - loss revenue - and a drained bank account. BUT DIRECT CAPITAL GOT PAID. So if you value your business don't use DC - THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR MONEY. If they sink a small business to make a buck SO BE IT! #Directcapitalisshady #assurantinsuranceisshady

Hi Tonya,
It is our goal at Direct Capital to make every customer’s experience remarkable, and I’m sorry that we seemed to have missed the mark.
We always strive for complete customer satisfaction, and the initial claim you submitted, we were able to process and pay out in nine days. I want to assure you that there was no intentional delay in processing your claim.
Unfortunately, Direct Capital is unable to recommend any licensed technicians for repairs or quotes (this is actually to give you, the customer, reigns to make a decision that is right for you, without any conflicts of interest).
We realize you were unhappy after your technician recommended a maintenance schedule for your DTG after the initial repair, so we suggested you submit a secondary claim for the repairs that needed to be done separate from the first claim. After not receiving the documentation for a secondary claim, we offered you the choice to have us pay off the remainder of your financial obligation and take the loss ourselves, which you did take.
Please know that we pride ourselves in helping small business owners, and have helped hundreds of thousands grow. While we are part of a bank, our relationships with small businesses and their owners are what keep us thriving. Please feel free to reach back out with any questions or concerns at 1(800) 253-0157. Extremely Disappointed.
We are a medical practice and are very disappointed with Direct Capital. Make sure to read every single letter in the fine print. They take advantage of small businesses. I would recommend anyone looking for financing to seek a loan at a Bank or Credit Union instead.
We tried to re-finance with a Bank at a better rate and, because of the very fine print, we are stuck with n enormous and unfair penalty.
