Good luck trying to get in contact with customer service I have been on hold now for 3 hours this company is a joke they tell you to reach out if you're background is inaccurate yet you can't even get a hold of anyone??

I was hired at a pretty cool company with a start date 2 weeks out (not Uber or Lyft). Filled out the Information for Checkr the same day. I’m getting emails requesting paystubs for a job I had in 2014. I also received a request for a paystub for a job in 2016. They could simply call and confirm but they told me that if I don’t have a paystub, to get a letter on letterhead from the company and to submit it to them. So Checkr is basically having me do my own background check which is ridiculous.

I'm trying to figure out why my background keeps getting denied ? I've worked for postmates before and I currently work for doordash and Amazon delivery I passed all there background . I was told by another uber driver that it was because I was black I did reach out to customer service concerning this issue. With no respond several times . I didn't believe it because I have other friends that works for this company (ubereats) as and they haven't had any problems. But now I'm starting to believe what that driver told me. The cold part is I've never been in trouble or any of that stuff. This company is trash and a lier.

CheckR is awful. Hello, be very careful when you apply for a job that uses Checkr as a background check. Checkr will screw you over. I did an interview with this research company, I was interviewed and immediately hired (I think the lady at human resources just wanted to hire the first person she saw). Anyway, I quickly get hired and then they put me through all this mind numbing on boarding portal crap which includes a background check for Checkr. I do all the stuff, fill out everything, I send in my valid ID, Social Security. So, after finishing the portal onboarding, I get an email from Checkr saying they can't verify me. That is all it says. I then get an email from the human resource of the company saying that my application is on hold because Checkr can't complete the verification. Then it says Checkr requested I send in ID. That is not true. At best from what I remember, it was a two sentences from Checkr saying that they couldn't verify me and that I had to contact admin. Nothing about sending ID. If I has saw that, I would have done it. So, I swear I did not see that, so I think these guys are terribly confused. So they screwed me over. Be cautious of interviewing for a job that uses Checkr as a background check company. Absolutely zero customer service. Cannot talk to anyone about even the smallest question. Phone system is completely automated, as is the chat bot. Background checking people were shady and wouldn't identify themselves. They make 2 phone calls, don't leave vm's, and if they don't get the info they want, they say your information could not be verified and put it all on you to provide documentation. Cheap, unprofessional, and a terrible company for the employee and employer.

Literally hot dog water they are an absolute nightmare of a company and need to be taken to court I am lawyering up! Time for a class action!!!!

Literally the worst company to conduct background checks. You have no way to reach a anyone. My background has been pushed out 4 times already and it has been over 30 days. This time frame is beyond acceptable.

Seemingly incompetent. They have contacted me three times in more than a month, each time asking for different information to verify my university degree (information they failed to provide me upfront, such as the third party vendor they use to conduct these searches). Should be a simple process but this company is making it much more difficult than it should be. Update: after calling them out on the ridiculous amount of time my education verification was taking, and supplying them with a third signed consent form with all the information they requested, they closed the background check the next day without ever trying to recontact the university. Avoid this company at all costs.
