This company is horrible!! I can only think that companies use this background service because it’s cheap?? They have said my daughters identify could not be verified and there is nobody to talk to or ask why. The bot is useless. We even took a trip to the SS office to see if her card had been compromised. Nope. This place needs to be out of business!

I have been trying to apply for jobs with both Uber Eats and Grubhub. Unfortunately, the background check via Checkr has ended up suspended on both occasions, preventing me from gaining employment with either company. I have tried calling Checkr via their listed phone number, but it leads to an automated answering machine that hangs up regardless of selection made. I have emailed Checkr about the problem, but have been told that the applicant company (e.g. Uber Eats) is at fault and I must contact them. This has led to hours on the phone with Uber where their representatives are insistent that the fault lies with Checkr, therefore leaving me in an endless loop. I have had background checks run recently by other companies recently, which all came back clean and quickly. Yet after nearly a month of effort, I have been unable to either ascertain the reason for, or fix the "Suspended" status of my background checks.

Checkr is a tard company and a scam. Tells me my license is supsended and kicked me off my driving platform. My license for the state was not supspended it was turned in to receive a texas license. Checkr needs to be able to distinguish this and ask for a new form of ID. This service is SH!T. Hopefully it dies and someone picks up the hefty bags of garbage and creates a new company.

How is this company in business? This has been by far the worst company that ever existed in the history of companies. like this is such a joke. I wish Uber would someone else to conduct background checks cause this "checkr" ain't it. If I could give it less then 1 star I most certainly would! This site is boo boo!

Terrible system in every way. Applied for a job 4 years ago and forgot to put the license number. Didn't know until I went to apply again with the same company recently. Probably could have got hired if I noticed at the time. That is because after 30 days of a check, it's locked and cannot be edited or deleted without direct request from the company to which you're applying. Been juggling conversations with them and Checkr for 2 months and essentially being told the other company is who to contact. Recently was emailing with a Checkr Support Employee, Esperanza. I filed a ticket to ask about what can be done and she sends a template message that essentially summed up to "you can't request a new check, contact the company to which you are applying". I told them that it was a bit more complicated than that and I wasn't necessarily trying to get a new check, just possibly update the one they had from 4 years ago. In response Esperanza sent the SAME template email but had the audacity to bold the section about contacting the company. No words typed, or questions/concerns addressed. Just a copy of the previous email bolding what they considered the answer. I have experienced some lazy and unhelpful customer service in my day but this by far has left me the most frustrated I have ever been from people hired and paid to help customers/clients. I'm extremely disappointed and really wish there were other options with most companies but it seems Checkr is the default/go-to option.

Seriously, a horrible company, 11 days ago I submitted a complaint that the info on my background check was inaccurate, and needed to be corrected. Over the course of the last 11 days I have called in and emailed the support team many of times about this issue. While I could not get an email response, every time I talked with a rep I was told the support team should of contacted you already. Low and behold I get the same run around today, and told well it may take another 30 days to complete ( a line I feel is BS, as this company has did nothing to try and right the problem at hand. ) Im pretty sure by the absolute number of people in these reviews, let alone other reviews sites, that have been screwed out of employment that we have a very sizable class action on our hands if we can find a lawyer. The practices of this company are unacceptable, their reports are inaccurate at best, and they set the customer service standard so low it makes Xfinity look like the gold bar is customer service
