Checkr is an incompetent company who can't get a background check done in over two weeks that I can perform myself in a matter of minutes. It is nearly impossible to communicate with a real person at Checkr and fully impossible to get a clear answer as to why they can't do their job in a reasonable amount of time. Checkr should be held liable for the lost wages of every gig worker who experiences actual financial harm due to Checkr's inability to perform the work they are contracted to perform in a timely manner.

This company has been giving us…
This company has been giving us constant trouble by not completing the background check. They keep showing the status as pending without even contacting the employer for verification.
We have reached out to them several times, but nothing has changed. Very unprofessional and disappointing service. Not recommended!

I have done a handful of background…
I have done a handful of background checks with Checkr. I noticed that my recent invoice was incorrect.
I went back-and-forth and back-and-forth and back-and-forth with them. They first insisted I was giving them an incorrect email. They then wanted all of the information on the incorrect background check, even though they could see my portal as easily as I could. When I pointed out that every other background check was a certain level and for this last person they had added on to other specific background checks they said that their computer system did not allow them to credit me for their mistake. I will never use the service again. I cannot believe that they were pathetic enough to say that their computer system cannot issue a credit when they're entire service is computer driven.

Couldn’t select zero stars
Couldn’t select zero stars. Uber driver for 8 years with 4.99 star rating. 67 year old with zero traffic citations or criminal record. Checkr hasn’t been able to provide a background check in almost FOUR MONTHS. What an incompetent, feckless company.

This service is not helpful
This service is not helpful. This background check provider fails to include dismissed charges, which has caused us problems when trying to hire individuals. Many candidates hide these charges from us, making it difficult to place them in trusted positions, especially if they have felony convictions. Chekr's background reports reveal very little information. Overall, it's a useless and expensive service.

I have the same exact complaint as everyone else
I mean I have the same exact complaint everyone else does. It's really disheartening that this company can just mess with people's lives and refuses to acknowledge that they could possibly be wrong. And whenever you corner one of them with irrefutable logic, they'll just stop replying. When you file a claim against them with the better Business bureau, checkr refuse to actually address the concerns on the better Business bureau website. Instead, they'd rather redirect you to an email where they have wrong information. Then ghost you when you have facts. Oh and they also blame the company that did the background check as to why they flagged certain things. They can't tell you why it was actually flagged. Checker said it was something with my driving record but Amazon Flex said it was something with my background and not my driving record. So I have two companies that don't even know what is flagged but yet are so dead set that it's accurate. Oh but neither one of them can answer what it is
.. just that it's something and I should contact the other company. They also suggest that I should just make a new account, rejoin the waiting list for another 2 years just to pass the background check, or checkr could fix their mistake which we know checkr's not going to do that. And the nature of Amazon Flex even if checker changes it, they probably would still make me go back to the waiting list because they moved on past me now. I've never failed a background check. I've never had traffic violations I've never been to jail I don't have any issues with my driver's license at all... I mean checker has done a all of my other background checks for doordash, various car rental places, Uber, and passed all of those before this incident and passed a background check for GrubHub after this incident. Soo... doordash, uber, grubhub, car rental companies, and spark I guess all use the same background check and information to make their judgments but I guess Amazon Flex uses some special metrics or something? That's sarcasm, They don't! Flex use the same background check in driving record check as those other companies. it's the same report and somehow I failed this one..someone's wrong here. Either all of those companies hired somebody that they shouldn't have or Amazon Flex didn't hire someone they should have. Who gets the brunt of this though? Me... or the driving record, I don't really know which one because they never told me or sent me any formal information or anything and they won't answer the questions and they both have conflictingk. Despite the fact that I've taken five other background checks with checker and passed all of them but this job I really wanted checker just could not be bothered to work this out with me. Their way of working it out is by saying the same thing over and over. But not in a conversation no email once and then never reply again...

I paid $140 for an exhaustive deep dive…
I paid $140 for an exhaustive deep dive search of my local state federal governmental and private records that was to take between 3 and 7 days and literally gave them more information than was contained in the fraudulent report I received a few minutes later. This is blatant digital theft and a knowingly criminal activity.
