The worst experience. We rely on you to help us with accurate reporting and you leave us stranded. I intend to hire an attorney because this is ridiculous. No one is helping but your chat bot which does nothing but tell us the same thing over and over. I cant pay my rent nor bills because of this.

That sounds incredibly frustrating, and I'm sorry the support experience made things harder when you were trying to get answers. I want to look into what's going on with your account and make sure you get a resolution. To do that, I'm going to send you a private message through Trustpilot to get the additional details so I can resolve this with you directly.

P.O.S
P.O.S. Company doesn’t care about the accuracy of their reporting. These dummies are incompetent and causing people to lose their jobs, just for the record I just filed a lawsuit against these guys! I implore everybody to do the same that is the only way we are gonna obtain justice for there unchecked actions.

I'm sorry your experience didn't meet expectations. That's frustrating, and I get it.
I want to look into this myself. Every situation has its own details, and I'd like to understand what actually happened before I can speak to your concerns.

Horrible Experience and horrible customer service
The company doesn't do anything on their side to verify any information. They literally asked me to upload the documents on my own saying they couldn't contact any of my previous employers. They also never care to contact references provided - saying that the person never picked up the phone or emailed back while they absolutely never contact them. I dont understand why companies use Checkr.
In addition, they do take forever..if you think 2 weeks is fair - last time I waited 4 weeks for them only to say that now I have to upload all of the documents bc they didnt verify anything. Its the same story each time.
I literally started to ask employers which background check they use and if I hear checkr I am ready to move on to a different job.

That sounds genuinely exhausting, especially if this isn't the first time it's played out this way. A process that stretches on for weeks and leaves you feeling like you're carrying it yourself is a frustrating spot to be in, and I understand why it would make you rethink things entirely.
I want to look at what actually happened in your case, step by step. I'm going to send you a private message through Trustpilot to get the details I need so I can follow up with you directly.

This has got to be the worst background…
This has got to be the worst background check company I've ever heard of. They are NOT fast, at all. Literally 2 jobs in the past and we're going on 2 1/2, 3 weeks with them asking for more info on this or that. There's obviously no criminal past or the most recent position wouldn't have been an option considering I they require finger printing, background check, and registered through the state. Had to reschedule start time, which is more than halfway across the U.S. because we're all waiting on this shit company to do it's job.
Response from CheckrMar 19, 2026
That sounds incredibly frustrating, and I can hear how much is riding on this for you. Relocating for a new role takes serious planning, and having your start date thrown off while waiting is a real disruption to your life.
I want to take a closer look at what's happening with your case specifically. I'm going to send you a private message through Trustpilot to get the details I need so I can follow up with you directly.

I had an extremely frustrating…
I had an extremely frustrating experience with Checkr. During my MVR verification process: The system got stuck in a loop, repeatedly sending automated emails telling me to contact the DMV, even though I had already verified my MVR directly with Georgia DDS and they confirmed that all my information was correct. I opened multiple tickets and replied to each email, providing evidence and explaining the situation, but I received the same automated response over and over again, with no one actually reviewing my case. Communication was very slow, and I felt there was no interest in resolving the issue. One agent in particular, “Jhon”, was disrespectful, repeating instructions without acknowledging that I had already completed all the required steps. The portal and system did not accurately reflect my information, causing even more confusion and stress. In short, even though my MVR and license were correct, Checkr failed to process my verification effectively. The experience was overwhelming, repetitive, and unprofessional, and it caused me a lot of frustration.

That sounds incredibly frustrating — especially when you’ve already put in significant effort to provide the right information, followed the steps you were given, and still felt like you were going in circles. I can hear how stressful it was to deal with repetitive automated messages, slow communication, and the feeling that your replies and supporting documentation weren’t being fully reviewed.
I also want to look into this personally, because when someone is trying to complete an important verification and can’t get clear, human support (or the system/portal doesn’t appear to match what they’re providing), it can create a lot of unnecessary confusion and anxiety.
I’m going to send you a private message through Trustpilot to get the details I need (so we don’t discuss personal information publicly). Once I have that, I’ll review the history and follow up with you directly to help get this addressed.

The report only says Complete
The report only says Complete. No details, information just complete. I contact the company and finally spoke to a live person. I told them I had wanted to know exactly what they found and I got NO response. I contacted them and finally got a live person to share my problems with only complete. What is completed? I was told they were going to send my a copy of my report at that moment. 4 days later still waiting to receive the report or anything. They said they would sent the report to my email which they have but nope nothing! Do Not Use Them for the price they are charging it is a big time rip off! I am sorry I didn't look into their BBB ratings of this worthless company! If I could give a zero star that is what I would have given them. Stay away unless you have lots of money to throw away!
Response from CheckrMar 9, 2026
John — that’s frustrating. If the only thing you can see is a status that says the check is “complete” with no supporting details, it’s completely reasonable to ask what was actually searched and what the results were.
It also shouldn’t take multiple attempts just to reach a real person, and it’s not okay that after you explained the issue, you didn’t get a clear response to your question about what was found.
And if you were told a copy of your report would be emailed to you right away, waiting four days with nothing showing up (even though you confirmed they have the correct email) is unacceptable. I understand why that would leave you feeling like you paid for something you didn’t receive.
I want to look into this personally — both why you’re only seeing a “complete” status and what happened with the report delivery after support said it would be sent.
I’m going to send you a private message through Trustpilot to get the details I need so I can follow up with you directly.
Updated March 18, 2026: In the meantime, you can access your Checkr Personal report right now without waiting for an email:
Navigate to the portal (http://candidate.checkr.com/).
Enter the required information as you entered it when ordering the report.
Once logged in, click on "Complete" to view the report details.
Once the details load, you can also click Download PDF to save the report.
When you're viewing your report, you will see different statuses. "Complete" on certain searches (like a National Criminal Search) means a pointer search was run. Those searches are designed to identify if jurisdictions may need a closer look. "Clear" means no reportable records came back for that section.

Truely terrible and unethical company
Truely terrible and unethical company. Multiple errors in reports including running the enitrely wrong jurisdictions. The customer support will have you jump through many rounds of hoops hoping you will go away and will outright ignore your concerns and questions pasting boilerplate responses saying everything is fine. Our attempts to escelate the issues were completely ignored by customer support and they ignore all request for refunds even when they fail to deliver the reports. Some of the worse customer service handling I've experienced.
Response from CheckrMar 9, 2026
Camille — you’re right to flag this. Having a report come back with multiple inaccuracies, including searches run in the wrong jurisdictions, is a serious problem and not something you should have to spend time untangling.
It’s also frustrating to reach out for help and feel like you’re being pushed through repeated steps, only to get generic “everything looks fine” responses that don’t address the specific errors you’re raising.
When you then try to escalate and don’t get any meaningful acknowledgment, I understand why it feels like there’s no accountability. And being denied a refund request even when you believe the report wasn’t delivered correctly only adds to that.
I want to look into this personally — both the jurisdiction errors on the report(s) and what happened with your support and escalation attempts, including the refund request and how it was handled.
I’m going to send you a private message through Trustpilot to get the details I need so I can follow up with you directly.
