Incorrectly set up online form asking for extra ID for UK citizen
A very difficult experience applying for a background check. I have worked for police and airports, so been through 10 year background checks many times and also a recent check with Persona. I am a UK citizen so have only ever needed to provide UK passport and proof of address (utility bill). I've also had multiple Disclosure Scotland checks and again, passport and proof of address is all that's required. It seems as though Checkr have set up their online forms wrong for the background check as if you input "Scotland" it asks for TWO forms of ID - birth certificate and passport. According to their website only ONE is needed for UK citizens. If you select "England" from the drop down, the form is set up correctly for UK citizens and asks for passport and utiliity bill/proof of address. Scotland is part of the UK. We are UK citizens. Requirements are the same for ID across the whole of the UK for backrgound checks, so somebody seriously needs to fix this asap as it has caused a lot of stress! Worse, you can't even speak to a person as their "chat" service is just AI and their email contact is an AI bot too.

Thank you for flagging this in such detail, Paula - the Scotland/England dropdown discrepancy is something we want to make sure gets looked into by the right team. I'm going to send you a private message through Trustpilot right now. Tony, Checkr Support
