looking at the scopes...very few said anthing about what they fit long gun or pistol....i chose a long gun and under it was scopes ..so i started looking at them..and orderd the gun the scope and a few mags...everything was fine in the shipping...i opend the box for the scope and the stinkin thing was somaller then a machbook..oh crap thats going back...so i call the gal was nice but said oh we sell these for ar's as well...what!!...ok what ever..so we desided on a scope...on line it said in stock...i asked her she said in stock...a day later she called me and said my return is 20 bucks less so i paid the extra 20...3 days later i got a email stating the order is canceled due to deplation of inventory ..what..really...i dont dislike ctd....but there manigment is crap....and insted of saying hey we droped the ball....one hand does not know what the other hand is doing..oh and we dont care about updating our inventory so the sales people tell the truth... if all you are to have is service..and your co fails at that.....what do you have??? just my 1.5 cents

UPDATE: received items. Turns out they ship from multiple places but don't forward all the tracking numbers. Probably won't order from CTD again because of all the bad reviews and my confusing experience, but maybe not a total scam after all. Ordered four items. Was charged for four. Four items were on the shipping notice. Received one. At the very least a terrible “business” that you should avoid.

No one to talk to and my order was missing a box of 32 ammo. So i guess i will never order from them again... No number or live chat available even though it says that both are offered. Update my 32 ammo finally came about a week later so i am happy about that it came in a separate box with no invoice. my original shipment came with a invoice that showed all parts of the order had been filled and that shipment wash missing ammo. So idk if it was alway on its way or a mistake. But normally partial filled orders are shown as 0 shiped and 1 ordered on invoices if they arent in thAt box. I changed my 1 star to a 3 star because. I did get what i paid for in the end. But the experience was time consuming and frustrating.

Edit: Cheaper Than Dirt responded to my BBB complaint and resolved the situation. I'm surprised they didn't contact me directly, but I'm satisfied with how they resolved this problem. Original post below: I purchased an order of 250 Rounds of Magtech .223/5.56 NATO Ammunition FMJ 62 Grains 556B on October 31st, 2020 at 12:41 AM for a total order charge of $387.33. Later that day, I realized that I had purchased the wrong ammo for my needs and sent Cheaper Than Dirt an order cancellation request at 2:56 PM on Saturday, October 31st and included my order number with all of the relevant information. OVER THIRTY-TWO HOURS LATER, at 11:31 PM on Sunday, November 1st, I receive a shipping confirmation email to tell me that my order is on its way. No response from customer service. Then 3 days later on November 4th, 2020 at 10:25 AM I FINALLY hear back from Monae McElroy, an employee of Cheaper Than Dirt who informed me that "Order 20831556 has shipped and could not be canceled. This order is scheduled for delivery on 11/04/2020." In other words, she emailed me to tell me that my order will arrive later that day (super helpful) and they couldn't cancel my order because Cheaper Than Dirt customer service is so incompetent that they don't reply to your emails for 5 days. I emailed her back later that day (November 4th, 2020 at 8:25 PM) with the following message: "I requested to cancel my order BEFORE it shipped. I sent a cancellation request email on October 31st at 2:56 PM and it was shipped on November 1st at 11:28 PM, over 32 hours later. How is saying that it couldn't be canceled because it has shipped a valid reason? I want to return the order." Now it's 16 days later and I still have not received a response. Absolutely appalling. My box also arrived with heavy damage, which hasn't happened to another package since I moved to my current residence 3 years ago (I have no evidence to blame Cheaper Than Dirt for this, but it is suspicious because their customer service is downright dreadful). And their price gouging is unbelievable. They are really taking advantage of people during a difficult time.

Brought 200 rounds of pmc x-tac 5.56 green tip ammo and it came in corroded and in molded boxes. I assume they do not care at all. I will never buy from this company again. It took forever to get the ammo and when i went to look at them and count them i see this. This is beyond unsatisfactory. Update July 4 they sent out brand new good ammo without me sending i the bad ammo. All on trust I sent them the bad ammo back and got good ammo.

They never seem to have anything in stock. Their ability to properly locate and address is poor on restricted items. When they have things in stock they do ship quickly but they almost never have items in stock.
