I have on my credit report a bill for like almost $1,000 from Spectrum mobile telling me that I need to pay them but they're wrong and they recording their own phone calls so it's got to be in there and I told them that and I went through and wrote down all the employees' names and times because now I'm upset and I said this is what day I talk to this person you need to look it up you can't tell me I'm wrong and all those things are recorded you know and he gave me his name and number and everything and they said well he can't promise you this well he did and he ordered it and you sent me the wrong phone I did not order this phone you even called me a million times this month and said is your phone working like I don't understand how I'm so sorry you know you will get your your phone will get you your phone they never did and that was it and I kept bothering him and I'm just like I don't owe you this money I told you you know we had a deal workout no and why should I pay for a phone bill after my phone's not working you said it yourself it doesn't work and so why is this no I'm fighting this because they promised me that they would make the phone right and that they would not charge me until the phone was hooked back up so we are at a zero balance but now you're messing with my credit and you know you're lying I proved it to you

A Year of Overpaying and a Final "Exit Fee" Summary: The service itself is okay, but the corporate greed and cancellation hurdles are unbearable. I finally managed to disconnect my Spectrum service last night, and it was a grueling experience. I spent the last year trying to negotiate a fair rate, only to be frustrated by the long wait times and security codes I needed. The moment I finally get through to cancel, they suddenly "discover" a $45 promotional rate—the exact price I had been hoping for while they were busy overcharging me. To add insult to injury, because I was three days into my billing cycle, they are forcing me to pay for the entire month. That’s $90 for service I’m not even using. They also make the process intentionally difficult by, on multiple occasions within the same call, requiring a phone call and "security codes" rather than offering a simple online disconnect route like any modern company should. The only reason this isn't a zero-star review is the representative, Tony the rep last night was somewhat apologetic and helped me calm down, but it was clear he had to read through the mandatory scripts the company forces him to use. I’ve finally switched to Google Fiber. After a year of dealing with Spectrum's outages, "loyalty tax," and refusal to pro-rate my final bill, the transparency and ease of a fiber provider is a massive relief. Don't wait as long as I did—save your money and skip the headache. But reserve an afternoon when you are very calm and don't expect it to be easy.

Out again today. This time for 12 hours. I run a business from home. Not so much though with theses clowns. Effing useless.

Booty! I'm paying for nothing, and all they do is come play with the wires without fixing it. It's obvious they're cutting corners. I've left this business several times. New customers get great service for a while. It's only good while you're considered "new". You're "new" business has an expiration date.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Never have I ever dealt with a business as poor as this one. Not only is their Internet service experiencing an outage more than it is working (regardless of weather conditions) but trying to contact the company to cancel service was a NIGHTMARE. I had been on the phone with them for over 40 minutes, mentioned 15 separate times I wanted to cancel my service and every single time they ignored my requests and continued to offer add on services, then would put me on hold when I declined said services. If there were no other Internet services that existed in this world and I had to choose between charter or living in the Stone Age I would choose the Stone Age every single time

If you have a choice of who to pick for an Internet service provider, choose the other vendor. Spectrum is horrible. I live in an apartment complex where they decided to use another vendor for Internet. So I had to cancel my service. Spectrum billed me for the entire month even though I got very little usage of the Internet for this particular cycle. They refuse to work with you on the billing. They give you a song and dance about how they don’t prorate your last payment. I have never had this experience with another provider charging you for service that you did not use. But here we are. Their service is expensive and not always reliable.

I have a mobile account with spectrum and back in nano my bill was $40.00. When February came my bill went up $10.00 so I blew it off thought I was late on my bill. Well now it is March and my bill is $50.00. So I called them and this is what they told me. Because I have only one line because it is only me I now get charge $50.00. If I had another line they would charge me $30.00. Talk about a rip off. I always knew that Spectrum was corrupted now I really know. I will be searching for an alternative solution. I am on a fixed income so every penny counts. There is nothing in this country that helps the people that are not wealthy. It is a shame.

Spectrum hid fees, refused to cancel my service when asked, and then billed us for an additional month and stated "we bill monthly, not by usage, so we cannot give a prorated refund. Terrible customer service, and they will never get my business again.
