Spectrum raised my price for internet (only) 50% the beginning of March - in a national emergency. I was given a rate and it was not a promotional rate, based on my low income due to illness. Now they insist it was a promotional offer that expired. It was not. I have been their customer for years; I became ill and had to work less and I asked about the rate for low income / disabled. They gave me a reduced rate because I told them I still wanted to pay!! Now they are taking advantage of a global emergency to price-gouge unchecked. They sent me an email that I cannot respond to. They called me so there is no documentation of what they are doing. Corporations deciding it is cheaper to buy Congress than to provide a decent service for a fair price. THIEVES.

They are charging me $5.99 for WiFi but…
They are charging me $5.99 for WiFi but my Ultra plan includes free WiFi according to the terms of use. My router is only half speed and they will not do anything about it because I didn't report it. They said they cannot do anything about past charges if it is not reported. What the heck? That's like a bank robber saying you didn't call when I was robbing the bank so no crime was committed.

The GRIFTING by SPECTRUM, NETGEAR & RALPH'S
I downloaded a movie from Amazon. I use Amazon Firestick. After downloading, a message appeared that said the internet was slow. I called SPECTRUM. The one that devours their young. They immediately default to, "It is the router."
I was promptly given the number to NETGEAR....And BINGO!....promptly routed to Manilla.
And so here comes the "CIRCUS."
Immediately the nonsense began. And so the call was disconnected. I called back. And I was routed to....You guessed it.....INDIA!
They tout Ghandi that brought independence and only achieved retaining the same system that they had before they kicked the British out. They were a dirt poor, uneducated nation before him and just continued.... They invented the number "0" but could not figure out what to do with it.
They told me that I would have to purchase a service contract for......$109....A service contract for a router that I bought for $20 from Fry's. Christ, $109 in India is a fortune. And so the HINDUSTANI PARROTS continued. I hung up the phone.
I got up at 6:00 a.m. this morning and asked the one question that only contains one word that my generation, the "Boomers" were always taught to ask.....The word, the question...
WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY?
I looked at that router as I was having my first cup of coffee in the morning.....And there it was. The reset hole. I took a paperclip out and bent it and pushed it in the reset hole and of course it worked.
Today, when I was in the Ralph's, I watched others like me put back food from the shelves at Ralph's and Vons and Pavilion’s because, although we are enjoying the lowest inflation rate in the history of our nation, these CORPORATE PIGS have raised the prices on the food 6% to 12%.
Today, I watched a veteran of the BOOMER generation fumble for a plastic bag and fumble for change to pay for his food at the checkout. I did not offer to pay because I knew if I offered to pay the difference he would not accept it. WHY? Because his pride in himself would not allow it, pride that these dark creatures that have taken over every aspect of our lives could not possibly comprehend.
The cashier was ringing up my order. She was so sure of herself... so smug. Her generation has become like this.
She could not comprehend that giving a 10 cent bag for free would have spared that veteran shame. In fact, would have HONORED THAT VETERAN FOR SERVING OUR NATION.
For NETGEAR to route to India and the Philippines to PUSH MORE PRODUCT on those, ON THE ELDERLY that gave so much and now CAN LEAST AFFORD IT in this country, the generation that changed our nation....
That served our nation so honorably.
It is time that SPECTRUM & NETGEAR & RALPH's crawl back in their holes so that all three get permanently lost.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE THIEVES!!!
I had spectrum wayyyy back when it was bright house. After Spectrum too over customer service sucks and no body wants to help you or even sound enthused to take your call. Even if it was something as simple as rebooting your modem remotely. Those imbeciles are only there to collect a check with the worst attitude. Spectrum are thieves, increasing your premium without telling you gradually increasing their prices until it becomes no less than “charging you an arm and a leg” for just internet.

If you have an alternative in your Service Area- Explore It
If you have an alternative in your service area, pursue it. Have been a Charter/Spectrum customer for 16 years and looking forward to severing my relationship some day. Spectrum released their app for TV service before it was ready. If you speak with a tech support agent who prefers integrity, they’ll admit the app has been a problem for them. And they want us to subscribe cellular service? Not an a option

Spectrum internet has gone from ok to terrible
Spectrum internet has gone from ok, to bad, to terrible, to NOW, several states are beginning a class action suit for falsified speeds.
I had AT$T internet in 2009-2012 which was slow, but workable and I received $71 in a class action.
Spectrum will speak politely, however, after 2 years and a price increase from $39.95 to $65.95.
I use Mint Mobile cell phone data to stream tv and movies, because Spectrum internet cannot reach buffer speeds, it stated as a 100 Mbps.
