We rented Paradise Peak for the second year in a row for our family beach vacation. Excellent space, enough room in the kitchen to cook (when we weren't eating out!), great proximity to downtown restaurants & shops. Most of all, easy to get out to the beach and a great balcony to sit & gaze at the ocean and, this year, the July 4th fireworks! Minor quibbles--comforter in front room is very stained & needs replacing. Balcony furniture could be updated with more comfortable chairs. Condo was very clean & ready for us with good supply of "starting" items (coffee, paper towels, etc). Loved the newly-renovated bathrooms! Communication with the office was excellent. And the pool was a wonderful temp for me--cool, not cold!. We enjoyed it a great deal when we weren't in the ocean!

the house was great! easy walk to beach and town. Room for all families. only complaint was the pillows, they were very flat. otherwise very nice and clean. would go again!

This is a great house for a large family vacation. The house is decorated impeccably and the beds are divine. The saline pool is an added benefit and much appreciated. I would have rated it 5 stars but the kitchen is poorly provisioned. Luckily, my daughter lives in Charleston and provided us with a shrimp pot, mixer, and pitchers. We also had to purchase an umbrella for the pool. I highly recommend that the owners restock the kitchen for families who plan to cook and add more furniture and umbrellas to the pool,

We loved our week at Dewees Island. It was fantastic. The beach was beautiful and unspoiled and the house we rented (Charlotte's Pearl) was very well maintained with a kitchen that had everything we needed.

The people that work at Dunes Properties are great (shout out to my sweet Tyler Haig from home!!). I wish I had known in advance about the "change in beach status". I chose the place we were staying so that my Mom (who is 88) could put her "toes in the water", her wish every year. She was not even able to go to the water as it was so far away. It's like they picked up the ocean and moved it since I was last there! We couldn't HEAR it (which is a huge part of being "beach front" to us), and we could barely see it. I know that we were not the only ones disappointed as many people staying there were talking about it. I will chose another place next year (although the place was awesome) and will definitely ask where the beach is before booking it! Beachfront doesn't mean beachfront anymore.....sadly. Thanks so much!

Great home, with many of the comforts of our own home. The extra beach chairs and wagon made our beach trips a breeze. Appreciated being able to bring our furry kids too! Looking forward to our next trip!

Great location. Close to shops and restaurants. Pools were nice. Found a great company to set up blue resort chairs and umbrellas each day. That was a huge help. Beach was more crowded than I am used too but it was ok. Condo was nice. Had some nice bathroom updates. Upon arrival I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the condo. The table and counters had not been wiped down from previous renter. So after further inspection I ended up washing all our linens again just to make sure. Patio furniture could use some updating. Overall I would stay in the condo community again but maybe a different unit.

This was our first time staying on Folly Beach. We loved our condo and our location oceanfront. Between the beach, the pool, and all restaurants/bars within walking distance, we had the best time. We are definitely coming back!
