Charleston Coast Vacations by dunes propertiesReviews of charlestoncoastvacations.com

The condo was a nice size for two people. The condo was clean and updated. The condo is near the pool and beach. We really enjoyed our stay.

The house itself was beautiful, the pictures didn't do it justice. It was beautifully decorated and the open layout and glass covered porch were our family's favorite features. A few notes on the cleanliness/management of the property though: the hot tub was not properly cleaned. We saw that someone had dropped in cleaning "pills" into the hot tub to "clean" it. When we opened the cover we saw old leaves on the top of the water and dirt/sand at the bottom. Dropping in cleaning pills does not properly clean a hot tub and we were very disappointed as this was one of the reasons we decided to rent this house. We ended up not using it as it looked very gross. Additionally, the front door is very difficult to open and close as it sticks and needs to be repaired. Lastly, the house is just across the street from the beach. Very easy access but if it rains, the driveway floods very deep where it meets the street which then does not allow you to cross the street to get onto the beach. We had to walk through brush and over the neighbors lawns/houses in order to not walk through a lake of water to access the beach. If where the driveway meets the street could be paved over and leveled, this would not occur. Overall great house, biggest disappointment was the hot tub. We chose this house for the perk of the hot tub and were very disappointed that we could not enjoy it.

Very nice. No complaints. Unit was very clean and everything worked. I have stayed in other units in this complex, and, a time or two, they were not very clean and one had roaches. but not this unit. I would recommend it to others.

The company was very accomodating. While we had no issues the contract phrasing was to the companies advantage not the customers. I only signed the contract after speaking to a manager and receiving an email from her addressing my reservation to my comfort.

This was our 2nd time here and we definitely will be back. The house keeping was not up to par this time. House was dirty under couches and some of drawers were never cleaned. Kitchen is fully equipped and bedroom linens are nice and clean. It is a beautiful house with a view to match. Plenty of room for 7 adults and 4 children. The outdoor space is great.

We stayed at the Huyler House on Dewees Island in the Sweetgrass Suite. The interns were very helpful in getting us from the ferry to the accommodation. Please thank Katherine and Chris for us. The island is fabulous! We went there to escape and see birds. The birdlife there is diverse and plentiful. We didnt mind the weather, which was a bit rainy. The cart paths were flooded and we got stuck once but the locals helped us get out. By the way, we enjoyed meeting the island property owners who were so nice and helpful. Back to the property: the Sweetgrass Suite has such badly stained carpet that we put the kitchen rug over some of the worst stains so we didnt have to see them! The pool was closed for two days when we were told it was only closed on mondays. I was using the pool for post operation exercises so this was disappointing. Also, the information materials did not mention the wifi password and it took us several days to find this out. Otherwise, the accomodation was okay. So, in summary, we would rate Dewees Island with five stars and the Sweetgrass Suite with a four.

This home is very beautiful and large enough to accommodate 12 people easily. The bedrooms and bathrooms are nice sizes. The master bedrooms are amazing. The breezes off all patios were great in the evenings. The view from the top 2 floors are amazing. The owners/property managers need to invest some money into simple repairs. Simple things like broken electrical plates and door handles on patio doors, Leaky kitchen faucet. The home was mostly clean, but there are definite improvements needed. The bedding? Maybe use bedding that can ALL be laundered. Stains on pillows and mattress pads. Many Blankets were found on floors in closets. Blankets not clean. Bath rugs dirty and need replaced. Mold in showers. For the price we paid, this was a disappointment. Cheap hotels do a better job. The ease of reservation and dealing with the rental company was ideal, we did ask for extra pillowcases during the stay and they brought them right away. Overall, great place, but really needs some general attention and cleanliness.

This is a great house for a large family vacation. The house is decorated impeccably and the beds are divine. The saline pool is an added benefit and much appreciated. I would have rated it 5 stars but the kitchen is poorly provisioned. Luckily, my daughter lives in Charleston and provided us with a shrimp pot, mixer, and pitchers. We also had to purchase an umbrella for the pool. I highly recommend that the owners restock the kitchen for families who plan to cook and add more furniture and umbrellas to the pool,
