Fees are high. Customer service is helpful, but local credit union could probably make a better deal for you. I had a 20% interest rate reduced to 10% but the monthly fee effectively resulted in a 16% interest rate. I took a hit to my credit for not much benefit.

Hi Ben - thanks for your feedback! Our fees are regulated by the laws in the state where each customer resides, and some accounts qualify for hardship programs that can reduce fees. Credit unions or bank loans can be an excellent option for those who qualify, but can be difficult to secure without collateral to guarantee the loan. We're glad that our customer care team was helpful for you.

My service was for the most good just at the end we could not get it right last payment should have been reduced and it wasn't had to wait for the to refund me the difference which almost caused me to overdraft my account not good

We appreciate your feedback, and are sorry that there was difficulty with your last payment. I have passed your comments on to a supervisor and will have a representative reach out to you to make sure all of your questions or concerns were addressed.
LARRY
My experience was fair. My balances on my card's seemed to stay the same. I'm paying less than the minimum due on my card's, between that, the interest & annual fee's, in three month's my card balances are the same & some over the limit.

Hi Larry - I'm going to have one of our customer support representatives reach out to you to do a review of your account to make sure everything is on track. It can take a few months for creditors to start applying full benefits, so we want to make sure everything is fully up to date.

I just today received my statements from the credit cards I turned over to you for payment. Two of the 4 have late charges! Why, you take my money, well today, the 5th, payments are not due on most for ten days or more! I went to my back for a home equity loan, last week, they refused because I have late payments recently, really , why! I am not happy at all. Brenda Ashcroft

Communication is an issue. Things go unnoticed and unaddressed for quite some time. Everyone is very nice and accommodating to a degree. I have been on my own doing most of this, which is not the way I thought it was supposed to be!

Thanks for your helpful feedback. We wanted to let you know that we have been working to improve the quantity and quality of our communications. If you continue to experience any issues, to let us know and they’ll be addressed by a manager as quickly as possible.

We turned to CESI in a time of desperation, with 6 of our credit cards behind and at their limits. They were able to quickly and easily make proposals that were accepted by each creditor. We had one account that was not old enough to be enrolled, so we continued to make the minimum payment on the account, with the intent of enrolling it in the debt management program when available. When the time came, the account was added and CESI sent proposals that were accepted and all continued on beautifully into credit repayment bliss... or so we thought. Following several months of making payments to the last account, we received documentation in the mail that the account had been referred to a lawyer for further collection activity due to serious delinquency. Through many phone calls and long conversations with Melba we discovered that CESI had been sending the payments to the wrong department(?) and the account had been written off due to non-payment. In the end, we received a refund for 2 of the 6 payments that had been sent to Narnia, but it doesn't lessen the sting of now paying a lawyer for an account that should have been secured easily as the creditor was a large, very common company. We have 7 months left on our DMP, and I am forever grateful that we have had a (mostly) easy and pleasant experience with the staff at CESI, but the fiasco with the one creditor will definitely leave a bad taste in my mouth.

I had a really good experience with CESI. The only thing I did not like was you could not go back and review payments after the debt was taken care of. You had to call them to get the information, and what they sent was not easy to review.
