Frode, you were right, and it is now fixed. Here is what was actually happening, because it explains why buying more data made no difference. Your line had used exactly 1024 MB, which is exactly the size of your first 1 GB package, and then stopped. The network session was still holding that exhausted package. So your account correctly showed 2 GB available while the network still believed you had none. Adding data could never have solved that. We reset the network session from our side this afternoon. Your line has since moved past the 1 GB mark and is drawing from the data you added, so it is live again, with around 1.9 GB remaining and valid until 1 September. None of the data you bought was lost. We have emailed you the details directly. What we are taking from this: the failure was invisible to you and visible to us, in our own data, as a usage counter frozen at exactly a package boundary. Real usage never stops on a round number, so it is a clean signal and we simply were not looking for it. We are now checking for that pattern every few hours across all active lines. The first run found two other customers in the same state, neither of whom had contacted us. One we repaired the same way. The other had already removed the eSIM from their phone, so we are reaching out to them directly. Thank you for writing. It is a fair review of what you experienced, and it is the reason the check now exists. Cellesim Support

Elena, you are right and we are sorry. You wrote to us at 18:00 on 9 August, stranded on the island without data. We did not answer until the following afternoon. That is around 21 hours, and it is not acceptable when someone is abroad with no connection. By the time we replied you had already bought another eSIM, which is exactly what we would have done in your position. We have refunded your order in full. Your plan was never activated and not a single megabyte was used, so there is nothing for you to have paid for. For anyone reading this: the technical issue was that the eSIM had been downloaded to the phone but the line itself was not switched on, which is a two-tap fix. That is precisely why the delay matters. A quick answer would have solved it the same evening. We have changed how our support queue is prioritised so that customers who are already travelling are answered first. Thank you for taking the time to write. We would rather read this than not know.

Cellesim ekibi

Thank you, Mr Issac — this means a great deal to us. You had a genuinely difficult week with us: a deleted profile, a replacement to arrange, and then an upstream network outage in Italy that took both of your lines down at the same time. You would have been well within your rights to write something very different here. That you took the time to leave this instead is not lost on us. Both of your lines are running normally now, and if anything changes we're one message away. Safe travels — Cellesim

Thank you, Diana — and we're glad the install went smoothly. You've put your finger on exactly what we built this for. Short trips are where a traditional SIM makes the least sense: you queue at an airport kiosk, pay for a month you won't use, and hand over your passport for the privilege. Your Uzbekistan line was 15 days, and that's the point — you buy the trip, not the contract. If it helps for next time: we also run genuinely short options on that route, down to single-day plans, so a weekend or a stopover doesn't have to cost you a fortnight. The fifth star is still out there, and we'd like to earn it. If there was anything that could have been better — anything at all — write to us at [email protected] and it goes straight to the people who can change it. Safe travels, and thank you for taking the time. Cellesim
