Absolutely ridiculous shipping policy in this age of e-commerce. They utilize an outdated shipping setuo with individual regional contractors that takeout to 2 months to receive an order. Give you a 30 minute window to be available at delivery then if you aren't there add 2+ weeks to time. When asked about timing customer service state there is nothing they can do. "We load everything on one truck that goes across the country. When it gets to you is out of our hands". I could have it custom made in China, shipped on a barge, and delivered by train and the item would get to me faster than the Cb2 delivery methods. Plus they pass all shipping expenses on to the customer. They should be paying me for lost interest on the amount of time they had my money for the items purchased. I have not idea what manager or executive authorized this policy but is absolutely ridiculous. WARNING: Do not order any furniture from them online!!

Had a terrible experience with their customer service after sending a broken desk. Would avoid this company and everything they sell.

Worst return policy! you are responsible for shipping cost, so I would have to pay $25 to return my items? Ridiculous, after I spent over $80.

Worst customer service experience ever. Order a bunch of furniture from them for my new apartment. Had to spend 2-3 hours at the store because there systems are all messed up. Then agreed to wait for 10 days for a delivery date. 1st attempt at delivery: didn't come within the apartment delivery time despite repeated emphasis from my side at time of purchase, delivery scheduling etc. that my apartment doesn't allow delivery after 4 pm. On calling the logistics team and then the customer service team was greeted with the response from both the reps involved - "So what do you want me to do now. We are going around in circles" Finally gave me a new delivery date to your convenience (not going out of their way to fix the situation). 2nd attempt at delivery - came with 1/3rd of the furniture only (no couch, dining table, bench etc.) because they messed up at the back end.

The worst customer service one will receive here. The most unhelpful and rude representatives I have encountered in a long time. Even when you try to claim something like the 20% off when you first sign up or free shipping they make you feel like your begging for a discount. They also never send any coupons no matter how many times you purse full priced items. I find it absurd that I have to pay shipping on an item that costs more than $300 but not on $10 chopsticks from their website. I would try to get whatever item you need from any other place. Not recommended at all!

I'm learning more about CB2 and I am not happy. I bought a used CB2 wood bed frame recently. Assembling it was a PIA. I have assembled used IKEA bed frames and I like them much better. The CB2 frame was missing some parts so I called them to see if they can send me what I need. Their customer support is not accommodating. Apparently, they do not send parts nor are they available. IKEA on the other hand will send you whatever you need for FREE. I believe this type of service is essential for apartment dwellers bc ppl move around and will disassemble and assemble their furniture. You will lose parts at some point. So I learned a lesson here.

I ordered 3 items from CB2's website. The items ended up not working out in my home so I started a return process. I was told by the customer service agent that I could return the items but it would cost $90 for return shipping. I opted to not do that, but instead decided to return the items to their warehouse location 20 miles away. I was told if I did this I would get my full refund. Two weeks later I chatted with another agent to get the status of my refund and was told that I would be getting it soon, but it would be for $68 less than what I paid. I explained that I was told I would get my full refund previously. This agent said that CB2 will not refund original shipping cost. If I had not taken the items back to the warehouse, CB2 would have charged me $158 to return the items. That is unacceptable! When I questioned the agent on this policy and about my previous conversation, she got angry and ended our chat session. I will not be shopping at CB2 or Crate & Barrel anymore.

I posted a review of CB2 merchandise they sent me that was defective and completely torn up. They then emailed me and said the review "didn't meet their standards" and they wouldn't post it. Customers should know what they are really getting into when they order from them. Below is my review. I had the most horrific experience with them than I have ever had... "I ordered two of these chairs. They were delivered with no hardware. I had to jump through hoops just to get the hardware delivered two weeks later, after paying $20 at the local hardware store. Once I had someone assemble them for me I noticed over 10 scratches, chips, etc. I asked for a refund on the chairs and was denied. They want me to pay to have their defected merchandise shipped back. The merchandise is horrible and the customer experience is even worse. DO NOT buy these - West Elm is comparable in design and price and their customer support/service is top notch."
