Quality has been very inconsistent over the last year as if they have different companies making the product for them. Lately it appears they are injecting air and water to fluff up the pate foil top cups and my cats are now walking away from the food. I heard they sold out recently to another company.

The customer service is Zero. Twice I have sent in a complaint, there has never been an answer. In a new box of cognitive blend, a packet was extremely bloated. I threw it out & wrote them & sent pictures. That whole box of cognitive blend I suspect is bad. None of my cats will touch it. Normally they love it.

I've placed three orders from Cat Person so far. The product is great. However, the service and delivery are really bad. Out of the three orders I've placed so far, one arrived with damaged product, one wasn't sent according to the posted subscription schedule (and without notice of the delay), and one was marked as "delivered" but never showed up. The company has done nothing to make up for the poor experiences; they merely offer cheerful excuses. And yet their competitors seem to be able to deliver on their promises without a hitch. Am planning to switch as soon as I find a suitable alternative.

I'm on the fence about Cat Person. I have two cats and one loves wet food and one only likes dry food. Both cats like the dry cat food. The Chicken & Turkey, and the Salmon & Tuna flavors. The kibble is very small. Neither cat liked the wet food, they smelled it but would not even taste it. I just donated the rest to the local animal shelter. However, both cats love the cat treats in the pouches. All of the flavors. It does have a strong odor but I think they have oils in them, they are very runny. I know cat food can be stinky. The customer service is prompt and helpful. My biggest complaint is the shipping. It takes forever to receive the products. Twice I placed an order to ship on a specific day but it didn't even ship until a week later, and taking a week to arrive, leaving me with no cat food and having to go to the store to buy different cat food in the meantime. And like several reviews about excessive packaging I agree, I may get one item in a large box.

Unfortunately, after a few months I have decided ordering this food is no longer sustainable. I actually came to this decision a couple weeks ago, and today received an e-mail that their prices are going up, so that helped cement my decision. The food isn't bad. My cats only eat dry food for some reason and this is their favorite brand. That's the main reason I tried to keep this food for a few months, even though the cost is astronomical. The reason I initially tried this brand is because my boy throws up frequently so I was hoping something with 'better' ingredients might help. The frequency did go down with this, but it didn't stop altogether like it has with another brand. Their prices, shipping times, and packaging though are far from ideal. They only have 2lb bags, and suggest 1/3-2/3 cups for 5-9lb cats, and 2/3-1 cup for 9-14lb. So if you're someone who has two 11 lb cats...you go through about a bag a week. At $11 per bag (about to go up to $14.50)...it adds up fast. The food I'm switching back to ends up being about HALF the cost of this, price per pound, and has the added benefit of helping eliminate vomit. The fact that they only sell 2lb bags is frustrating. I asked about it once and they mentioned they only sold those because food can dry out. But for those with multiple cats, or those who know how to use the seal to keep the bag closed...this feels like an excuse. It's so much extra packaging waste on top of everything else. Shipping times are also something to take into consideration. I had to make sure I placed my order when I had two bags left, because it will take a couple weeks from order placement to delivery. Overall, it's not a bad company. If you only have one cat that you like to spoil, and you have the money to afford this, you will have a happy cat. Unfortunately, I can no longer afford to spend over $500/year just on food.

2 of my 4 cats won't touch Cat Person wet food. The other two will only eat some of the flavors.

my picky cats love the food - they won't really eat much else. customer service isn't great though. i'm on a meal plan and the day my order was supposed to be shipped i heard nothing from the company. i reached out and they said there was a problem with my card. when i checked their system everything was correct, i attempted to put the information in again and i got an error message. it was a system issue, nothing wrong with my card. the company did not apologize. normally it wouldn't be a big deal but my cats were going to be out of food. when they ran out i went to the pet store and got the other brand they like, just a few while i wait for my order. 3 business days later and it's still not here. the shipping always takes forever to leave their warehouse. they are 4 hours away from me and it takes longer than a week to get here.
