We lived in a condo and were looking to buy a single family home for our growing family. Since we already had a mortgage, we had a hard time getting approved for a new mortgage. I also had quite a bit of stock I did not want to sell and have to pay taxes on if sold, so we did not know how to cover the down payment either. I just assumed I could not move, but then I found Catapult. We were Catapult Approved within days of our first call with them and they even helped us get a Wells Fargo loan that was fully underwritten. We made an offer on a single family home and thanks to Catapult, our offer was a fully non contingent fast closing offer and we won in a very competitive multiple offer situation. We then moved into our new home and put our condo up for sale, which sold for a great price, and Catapult was helpful with that process, too. The highly competitive East bay market kept the pursuit of our next home quite slow. Mostly due to the bidding wars and high upfront costs (bridge loans, tax implications etc) involved in upgrading to another home even though we had significant equity in our departing home. In August 2023 we began to consider our options as we were planning our search for a new home. However, we wanted to avoid having to sell our existing home and risk an unknown timeframe (months-year?) of not being able to secure a new home in a competitive market. Ankur and team were extremely helpful and responsive in the market analysis and offer prep. Using Catapult as our buyer agent, our offer was accepted in a multi-offer situation on our second try! It all came a lot faster then expected but then we were able to get the keys to our new home and then begin prepping our current home for sale. Catapult helped identify strong agents in our area for us to interview and helped negotiate favorable terms with the listing agent to sell our current home. Our listing agent was great to work with, addressing our seller needs, got us a lot of traffic and offers in just one week, and helped negotiate a multi-offer situation to very great terms and price above asking! Good product/service/market strategy all around. Catapult is a great service offering, should you do your own due diligence, you'll may find this to be a great product fit for those with home equity looking to be in a strong position to upgrade from your existing home. One can take their time, but it could also happen fast!

We used Catapult from start to finish to buy our new home and sell our old home. All interactions with Catapult and Ankur specifically were transparent and easy. We were aware of every step of the process and everything could not have gone smoother. Catapult helped us find our new home in our new desired neighborhood, helped us negotiate and take care of all the little details when making an offer, and after moving into our new home, we were able to sell our old home with a catapult approved agent for more than what we expected. I want to highlight some pros and cons specifically with our transactions with catapult, as we used them to buy our new home and one of their approved agents to sell our old home. Pros: - Catapult/Ankur was very responsive to all of our questions (and we had a lot!) - Using Catapult as our buying agent (saving us $) worked very well. He was able to find common ground with the selling agent in a very competitive market. - Everything fell into schedule with no hiccups. - After selling our old home with close of escrow, we received the wire of the remaining balance within a day. There were no delays of any kind. - We were given an option of choosing between a few Catapult approved selling agents - The agent we choose did an absolute stellar job. Cons: - I think the FAQ on their website could use updating, as to outline the entire process a little more clearly. It wasn't a huge deal for us, as we had all our questions answered in our first consultation home visit. But if someone were 'window shopping' this service, I can see someone glossing over it without really looking into it. - That's it.
