The case is very well made and feels high-end quality to the touch and use, not to say functional. The only possible changes or add-ons I would include the cases are the use of an alternative more rubberized finish (sealant) on the outside to provide a little more grip as the case is somewhat slippery and also add the side holes for the use of safety carrying laces.

There is no way you wouldn’t be satisfied if you get one of these live edge cases. Everything about it surprises me: the smoothness and in-hand comfort, the iridescence and movement in the resin and finished burl wood; the texture and detail on the sides… It’s seamless and fits perfectly snug (might be a pain to remove, but I’ve only had it a month or so the jury is out). I actually wasn’t completely sold with the first case that I originally purchased so I reached out about an exchange. They were super quick to provide the return address, issue a voucher for the replacement, unbothered by the request, and efficiently produced and shipped both. The second one is perfect and I couldn’t be happier. My expectations are definitely exceeded and although it was hard to swallow the $200 at time of purchase, I don’t regret it in the least and will do it again and again next time I upgrade phones. Great product, shipped quickly, and good communication practices. Beyond having their own cool product, they package using a canvas bag that's a fair trade good from Thailand. I know all businesses are out to make sales, but the folks at Carved also seem to be just as interested in being good corporate citizens.

I wanted a unique case and I got more than I bargained for! This case arrived quickly (they are made in the same state that I’m in!) and it was packaged in a nice drawstring bag that had the company’s logo. Inside, it had a nicely packed set of literature that states their determination to make sure the purchaser is satisfied with the case and if not, they tell you how to contact them so that they can make things right. Oh! And it had a really nice high-quality sticker that had the company logo… Nice! I then got to my case which was even more beautiful in real life! The feel of the back where the wood and resin are two different textures that are both smooth to the touch, but you can feel the difference in both materials! I then noticed that when you turn the case in the light, it will reflect the light differently on wood versus the resin and the effect is really cool… it’s like you are in a plane that is getting ready to land at sunset and you can see the bodies of water (resin) and the texture of the land below… nice! The looks are stunning and to know that each case is one of a kind is really neat. The case itself is made of a very durable, yet slim fitting material that houses my phone as if it was a glove. The buttons spaces are made so detailed that you get excellent feedback and confirmation that you pushed the button underneath. I’ve always hated buying a case that makes you have to push in with you fingernail to even effectively push the button down. The material in the inside is very nice… it’s like a velvet lining almost. The camera bump is well protected as well as the screen if I were to lay it on the front side down. It feels nice and grippy in my hands due to the textured grip surface on the sides. I have to say that I really feel my phone is protected, yet accessible and not hidden in some thick case. The fact that it brings out the color of my phone is and added bonus (purple Brayan case with a purple phone). The comments I’m getting already on the first day is probably a glimpse of how the rest of the week is going to go with people noticing “that pretty and interesting case”. I like that the company is a small company that seems dedicated to really pleasing customers. They have found a unique niche in the case space and they are great at what they do. I plan to support them in the future!

This is my third Carved case and I wouldn't buy another one. Very unique, beautiful and high quality. From the packaging to the product itself, great overall products and experience.
