I asked as a car dealer for a quote. Never received one. At first, they let me post for free not even knowing that car dealers need to pay as nothing is advertised, and suddenly they refused to publish further. Then, they said I need to pay, but no reply. Greedy lazy scammers!

Scam of a company for advertising
Scam of a company for advertising. They won't cancel your subscription and keep charging you monthly for months. On top of that they do not convert any quality leads.

To Urgent Complaint & Legal Concern – Castle Motors (Brookfield, IL) Listing on Cars.com
Dear Cars.com Team,
My name is David Braun, and I am submitting a formal complaint concerning Castle Motors, located at 900 Ogden Avenue, Brookfield, IL, whose listing I discovered and acted upon via your platform.
On March 14, 2025, I purchased a Mini Cooper through this dealership. Within 48 hours, the vehicle began emitting bellowing smoke from the exhaust. I have timestamped photos and videos documenting this. Since the purchase, I have discovered the vehicle:
Burns excessive oil (2 quarts low at two separate oil changes);
Has a failed engine, requiring a $7,000+ replacement;
Included unauthorized charges for a heat shield replacement that was never performed.
Despite Castle Motors’ claims, my extended warranty provider (Endurance) has provided written documentation that refutes their version of events, affirming the vehicle was likely sold in defective condition.
I am requesting that Cars.com:
Immediately review and investigate Castle Motors’ listing and dealership profile, and
Remove or suspend their listings pending the outcome of that review to protect other consumers.
This dealership’s conduct is not only unethical but also potentially in violation of Illinois state law, including but not limited to:
Applicable Illinois Consumer Protection Laws:
Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act (815 ILCS 505/1 et seq.)
Prohibits any deception, fraud, false pretense, false promise, or misrepresentation in the sale or advertisement of goods or services.
Selling a defective vehicle and misrepresenting its condition constitutes a violation of this statute.
Illinois Motor Vehicle Franchise Act (815 ILCS 710/5)
Prohibits unfair methods of competition and deceptive acts or practices by motor vehicle dealers, including misrepresentation of the condition of vehicles.
Uniform Commercial Code (810 ILCS 5/2-314 & 5/2-315)
Implied Warranty of Merchantability and Fitness for a Particular Purpose: Vehicles must be fit for ordinary use at the time of sale. A vehicle with a failing engine clearly violates this implied warranty.
Illinois Automotive Repair Act (815 ILCS 306/1 et seq.)
Prohibits billing for parts not replaced or services not performed—a heat shield charged but never replaced is a violation.
I am available to provide all supporting documentation, including:
Oil change receipts
Extended warranty evaluation
Dealership communication
Video/photo evidence
Castle Motors continues to list vehicles on your platform, which exposes other consumers to similar risks. Their ongoing behavior reflects poorly on the integrity of Cars.com if left unaddressed.
I respectfully urge your team to investigate and take action in line with your consumer protection values. Please confirm receipt of this email and advise on next steps.
Sincerely,
David Braun

Super satisfied with sale.
The sales team at Honda Crown Auto in Pinellas Park made it happen again! I purchased my Odyssey originally from Honda Crown 5 years ago. Enver was the Rep who sold me the car then and he was in on the deal in purchasing my brand new 2025 Odyssey now! The team of Eric and Enver were extremely personable, understanding our needs, and super patient. They make you feel special, entertain all questions, willing to provide you with all the info and keep it real. Having a relationship with the sales people makes purchasing a vehicle very comforting and assuring that you’re getting the best deal possible. Enver is very solid, dedicated, and highly values the customer.

Anyways cancelled my membership and spend my advertising dollars elsewhere.

Be very careful I’m trying to sell my car as a private owner and they’re asking for the copy of the title. Seems like the employees have a scam going on.
