The email preference center on Cars.com is highly inaccurate. I am only signed up for four very specific notifications: Inventory Price Drop Alerts, Inventory Search Alerts, Saved Cars Price Drop Alerts, and Saved Cars Sold Alerts. Despite setting these strict preferences, I constantly receive unsolicited emails about cars they claim are a "match" for me, which I couldn't care less about. Even more frustrating, there is absolutely no setting or option to turn off the automated emails sent by "Charlie at Cars.com." If a company is going to offer an email preference center, it actually needs to honor those choices instead of ignoring them to send unwanted spam.

They sent us to a very unprofessional sketchy used car lot named 'CarLux'. There we discovered that 1) they don't even have the car we looked at, 2) they tried to bait and switch offering another worse vehicle (filthy and damaged with dead battery) for more money. Then they they tried to trick us with the 'Internet Price' which IMO is a total scam. Then they add on 15% 'dealer fee'. From what I saw you will pay A LOT more than what you see online for terrible service and dirty unloved cars they got from at auction in (salty roads) PA. No thanks.

Company on low budget. Customer service is junk. They can not even clearly post the rules that they have for private sellers. They can ban you without any explanation and notifications that your are blocked. You just can not login anymore. Customer service is like left eye doesn't know what the right eye doing. GARBAGE
