I am extremely disappointed in this company. I've had a CareCredit card for years and have always paid MORE than the minimum. The one time I miss a payment, which was a misunderstanding that I tried to explain to them, they close my account and consider it delinquent and past due. There's nothing I can do about it even though I have re-scheduled the payment, and it was my first time. They said I cannot reopen or reapply until I've paid the balance. I will never open an account with them again. Horrible ethics. Horrible customer service. Never again.

Beware of this company. When I checked my pre-qualification, credit limit it was at $9,500. After applying, limit came out to $1,500. The process put a hard inquiry on my credit report and lowered my FICO score. Classic case of bait and switch.

Had this for a while now and all of sudden everything I have paid is gone and my amount went down to nothing and even though I need it for my fur babies I cannot use it with nothing on it but they don't mind telling you what you owe and raising the interest rate sky high and screwing your credit scores.. please find another company because this is not a great company

Have had this card over 5 years never a late payment Never maxed out . I had a 3800 available credit and 1001 charged on my card for an emergency vet visit. still on promo deal they lowered my credit to 1045 and maxed my card out saying they didn't have my mortgage info or student loans payment info . which i have never had a mortgage nor are any of my loans late or ever have been . my credit score dropped from them lowering my available credit. I paid it off the same month and wont be using again . sneaky to a very loyal or used to be loyal customer . date of experience is not exact . i refuse to even sign in to my account anymore .

Signed up for one of their no-interest promotions. When the promotion ended, they charged me a massive $650 fee. Fine. But the problem is NO COMMUNICATION prior to the promotional period ending. Not one email reminder, text, call... nothing. I feel cheated. These guys are sneaky and practice bad business. Avoid at all costs.

Be very careful using any promotions offered by Care Credit (part of the Synchrony financial network). Their billing statements are hard to navigate and they only remind you one month before the expiry of the promotional period, and even then the information and due date are not clearly presented until the 2nd or 3rd page of the statement. Miss this and you'll find the deferred interest has been added to the total amount due and a hefty interest rate (around 27%) has been additionally charged. There are no separate emails or notices, so if you decide to take the promo, strongly urge you to mark the expiry date and pay in advance of the month of the due date because they will also add a lot of graphics to the statement in an attempt to distract your attention. Also opt for paper billing so you don't have to keep scrolling to find information or miss anything important because you didn't scroll to the next page. They never answer the phone and it's difficult to get past the automated system, so you just have to keep hitting zero or repeat 'agent' until a live rep picks up. In the fine print, it says best times to call are on Wednesdays - Fridays. Most of the agents are overseas and they pretend they can't hear you and they hang up. And you have to keep calling. I am sure senior citizens especially may have been harmed by their unethical practices.

I love care credit it helps me with my pets and never had issues with customer service until now! I have few promotions to pay.. so I called to allocate a payment to a specific promotion to pay off. Well the agent made a mistake and paid this other promotion so I had to call back and they had to fix it. And they did fix it BUT i noticed some of the anount was moved around on my other promotions so I spoke to a supervisors boss who kept saying they are working on it and she will send them a note etc this went on for weeks..Calls back and forth with her! Then she started to say they’ve been having system issues! Then few days later Issues been fixed on their end but not showing up on my app So she said it’ll be another few days and app should be updard! This kept going total time 30 days! First she said she spoke to the IT department. Few days later she and I and this guy from the IT department spoke and he said it will be good to go in few days with my app since it’s fixed on their end! Well that turned out to be a LIE !!!!because I ended up speaking to HER BOSS TODAY AND HE said they NEVER had A system issues and HE was so upset she and that guy lied to me! she wasted 30 days! That guy was prob not even from the IT department! Nothing was getting fixed and I was lied to for a MONTH! It was still in process! Her boss said it’s in process but it hasn’t been fixed yet on their end! I had another supervirsor send a note to that department and her boss confirmed he saw the note! Needless to say that boss said he will talk to her etc Unbelievable!!!!! Giving false information and lying to a customer FOR A WHOLE MONTH is NOT a way to handle business! UPDATE! Instead of fixing it they added one promotional amount to another so now I owe more and I have to pay that back by February. Ridiculous. Unbelievable.!

They give you credit and regardless if you pay on time and more than minimum payment they WILL reduce your line of credit and once paid off close your account without you knowing!!! NOT worth having at all! Plus customer service is over seas and NOT helpful!!
