CareCredit randomly closed my account without notice even though I was 100% on time and paid all balances. This, of course, destroyed my entire credit score by dropping my available credit by thousands of dollars. I worked for YEARS on my score and it took ONE COMPANY to make it impossible to close on a home. Don't use this scam company.

I was at the emergency vet on April 3rd my dog was in critical condition after coding. I had five minutes to make a decision to let her go or life saving surgery for a tumor that was bleeding. She is a great loving dog we did the surgery for $12,000.00 dollars. I had care credit and there automated system up my credit limit to $15,000.00 so I thought I was all good. Except the payment was denied . I was talking to there customer service who said my account is ok. Call this other number to speak to a rep. The rep stated I have to wait 10 to reactivate my account. I had both this rep and customer service on two different one saying all good the other would not help at all and the kicker they refused to speak to each other to see how this could be resolved. I think they should both be fired for incompetence. So I told them to close my account and the rep stated you will never be allowed back if you close your account. If they can’t help you in an emergency they are useless. There is no reason they could not approve this emergency visit. In the past there customer service has not been good stay from this company they give you a lot of double talk. Most likely customer service is in a foreign country.

From the provider side, they charge an arm AND a leg every-time. It's never the same, sometimes 11% on a transaction, sometimes up to 18.5%. I always charge an extra 15% now on all patients/clients using care credit due to that. AVOID at all costs! Use Cherry or Affirm if you have to or even a credit card.

Absolutely horrible company! Lowered my credit limit after I had paid it down quite a bit to where I only have $38 available now…. Said they sometimes review payment history and credit score and sometimes lower. I’ve made every payment on time in this and every account I have! My payment history on every credit report is 100%!!! Once i pay this last little bit off I’m cancelling them!

Do not recommend, their policy is to take advantage on the misfortune. The monthly interest charged is almost $100 so no matter how much monthly payment you make on time your debt looks infinite, unless you can pay the entire debt at once. Abusers.

I have had this card for 8 years. My bank account was compromised and had to close it and re-open an account resulting in a payment being declined. I have never had a late payment in 8 years and this one late payment, they closed my account without notifying me. When i called, they said there is nothing they can do - re-apply is all i could do - this is unbelievable. I would not have known about the card closing if i did not try to use for my son's procedure. I have another card with the same company and have the same history - zero late payments and the keep increasing the limit since i have done well. Bad way to do business

Use it only if you are able to pay the entire amount of what you used within the time frame given of 0% interest. Cus if not you will be paying double the amount, cus they will charge a yearly interest rate plus monthly interest payments, that's discounting the amount you pay weekly or monthly. I was close to 2500 paid off from 5000 and they charged 1300 in interest and about 850 in total monthly payments. It's only been 12 months. At this rate, I will never be able to pay the entire amount, and by the time I could, I will be paying double of what I borrow. But if you can pay back everything before term, then go for it. I paid weekly payments, 0 late fees, payments always on time. There is nothing they can or willing to do to help you pay off the card. Still wouldn't recommend this company, ready reviews, they have a very bad reputation

I had them for several years.I owed them 6000 at one time, I paid it off and had not had issues with my dogs. They lowered my spending without informing me. I also have Amazon and will not be using it anymore.Pretty crappy for a company to do that after you owed them that much and paid it off.
