Canceled my card 10 days after one {supposed} late payment! My bill was due on the 18th and I made a payment on the 13th of $225 with $1000 in my bank account and for some unknown reason it bounced. I went camping and was out of service so had no idea until I got back and saw a letter telling me due to late payments they closed it on the 28th. I had a payment bounce with them before that, again, I had the funds for, but I had the time to notice and instantly paid; I now see that this is a random occurrence with the company that causes YOU to be at fault at any given time. I called and pointed out I have always made my payments on time, there was an obvious attempt to pay early, I have proof of funds in my bank statements, and I would be more than willing to make that payment and the next as good faith; but they still said there was nothing they could do and kept repeating it was due to late payments with ZERO help. I now have to call every time I want to make a payment and because my account is fully closed, I can't use anything online. I'm currently closing on a house and this has dropped my credit while making me look like I can't make payments so I'm in great potential to lose it all because of a faulty payment that was out of my control.

They promised a year with zero interest and raised it to 32% on the first payment. They charged me with a 93$ security fee?like what security do they need that for?? A 42$ interest payment on just one payment is insane. Also, they charged me $2 for every paper statement and didn’t tell me until AFTER they sent it to me. When I went to pay them completely off, the pending charge completely disappeared for over 24 hours so I submitted it again and they over drafted my bank account. They wouldn’t put the money back into my account, but they said they would take 2 full weeks to send me a check for 5,000$!!! Besides that… I accidentally put in the wrong account number that time I made a payment, so the reason they put for closing my account was because I had a “high risk of failure to pay” even though I paid off the balance completely after putting in the right account numbers……… and they sent it as a paper statement after I signed up for paperless, which I’m sure they’ll be charging me for. Please do not sign up with these people. They will steal from you.

I got a Care Credit card for my pets. I would use the card then, when insurance paid off, I would pay my balance. I have never defaulted on any of my Syncrhony Bank accounts. Synchrony dropped my credit limit from $3000 to $250 making the credit card useless for vet care and useless for my credit score. I guess they don't appreciate responsible budgeting.

I phoned Care Credit & spoke with their rep. Mary. I was told applying would be a soft credit check. They lied. My credit score decreased 5 points within 20 minutes. Don't trouch these people. They are liars & unethical. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau & Department of Consumer Affairs.

Closed my account with zero notice. Said due to no activity when I just had my limit raised a month prior for scheduled work, and talked to a service rep to make sure my card was active and ready for a scheduled surgery. He ensured it would be good to go. They claimed they mailed the letter of closure even though all other communication is through email from them. I think the rep was lying to me because she didn’t even give a date mailed. Just said “yes mailed to address” Today I got notification not from them, but from the credit bureau letting me know they closed my account. Called to talk to a named Emmy who didn’t answer all my concerns and questions. Only answered the yes or no ones. And offered no solution other than “sorry”. If I want to have it reopened, I have to reapply. They dropped my credit score 7 points closing the account. Reapplying will drop it more. They will not be getting my business again. Warning to reconsider if applying as it may do more harm than good. You are better off just getting a normal credit card at a bank. Interest would probably be less too.

The online application was "APPROVED" but then it failed to send the verification code and -- THAT SCREWED IT ALL UP and I was suddenly NOT approved!!! The three customer service people were useless! The Supervisor, SUSAN, was stupid and completely unhelpful, saying, "You'll receive a letter explaining why you were not approved." REALLY!! Will the letter say their own program screwed it all up? I can't tell you how awful this company is. It is so bad that I had to write this honest review of how they abuse their potential customers. Glad I won't be dealing with this truly sh***y outfit of incompetent stooges.

At first, I was so happy to have and be able to use Care credit for my dentistry work. I've had trouble with my teeth due to medications and care credit helped since my insurance only covers so much. They allotted me a decent amount but since my credit rating dropped they dropped my limit all the way down to barely above what I owe, which also negatively impacts my credit score. I've never been late with them and have always paid on time, if not early. That they dropped my limit causing me to be way above the 30% "usage" it has just added to my negative score. I am filling bankruptcy and I was going to keep my care credit, paying on time, for future use. However, since they want to charge CRAZY HIGH interest and do shady stuff with their customers, I'll be adding what I owe them into my bankruptcy. It's not like the whole $68 left available will help anyway. My original limit was $3,500 and it would have been nice to be able to have that if needed in the future, but this company is nasty, and they definitely do not "care" for their customers. The glowing reviews on their site are either fake or those people were happy at first(like me) until I'm certain that care credit pulled something shady with them also. Awful company. I would totally get them dropping my limit if I didn't pay them, but that wasn't the case here. They had zero reason except that my score dropped and they added to problem that by lowering my limit causing my credit usage to increase. Stay away!!

CareCredit lowered my established credit limit today, ALL THE WAY down to my unpaid balance (for dental work). This negatively impacts not only my health but my credit score, both drastically. I had another dental appointment scheduled this Monday for more necessary work and had to cancel. Evil. Pure evil. They have no right to put "Care" in their name.
