My wife and I hired a 1 time caregiver for our 9-year-old and the lady showed up with no teeth looking like a crackhead and nothing like her picture. When we went to the website of care.com to cancel our membership, it was impossible to do so because none of their links worked. No support links worked, no phone number worked, the review link didn't work, and they don't use their email anymore so you can't contact them. Very untrustworthy and scammy if you ask me and horrible service. I do not recommend.

As a nanny, I found the process of finding families to care for fast and easy. I appreciate that Care.com is making sure that every nanny/babysitter/senior care provider goes through a background check. With the additional paid versions of adding DMV check too. Receiving messages from parents seeking care, I do find that they don’t input a lot of information, which can waste a lot of time. Families should also include a few mandatory fields to ensure caregivers can scan for potential fit. This would avoid an overload of applications that are bad matches. Overall, I did have a good experience with care.com over the last 11 years.

The information is well written and protected. There is also specific help on how to avoid BURNOUT! Some care givers are very busy taking care of others that they forget burn out is a reality if they over look themselves. Thanks for the extra articles on Care.com.

I had many responses to my ad and found a great dog walker.

I enrolled in a one time monthly membership last month to find a house cleaner. I paid the one time monthly membership fee. Today I looked at my credit card statement and seen another new charge from this company dated 4/24/26 which I did not consent to. I contacted the company explaining my member that I paid for was a one time monthly fee and requested a refund. I received an email stating that they would not refund my money. Apparently this company has a history of deceptive practices as per the below FTC information from 2025. The FTC is distributing over $8.1 million to 194,207 users of Care.com. According to this FTC press release, this follows a settlement regarding deceptive claims about job availability, earnings, and difficult subscription cancellations. Eligible users received checks or PayPal payments in June 2025, which should be redeemed quickly.
