Care.comReviews of care.com

Parents Beware!!!! Care.com is NOT parent-oriented! We finally found the summer care nanny spent over $6,500 in fees with the express understanding they would need to withhold their OWN taxes and they would receive a 1099 at the end of the year. Summer ended, we sent the 1099. The nanny fought us with complete Care.com help in the form of free forms, tax accountants’ advice. The nanny won the IRS objection. We as parents completely lost. We had to pay for our accountant to contest the nanny’s rejection of the 1099. We had to pay HER taxes on top of our accountant fees. She got $6,500 for 3 months of work tax free and got completely FREE help from professionals hired by Care.com. Definitely NOT parent-oriented despite the fact the parents pay for the listing and membership fees. We got completely stuck with all those fees & the tax bill!!!

Removed my profile for no reason whatsoever. Contacted support and they sent me a generic message as to reasons why they could remove your account. Screw you Care.com. Never used you and I sure wouldn't recommend you.

I made a mistake and joined what I thought was the website homeadvisor.com to have some much needed repairs done on our home. One of my google searches brought the care.com website to come up. I clicked care.com by accident thinking I was on homeadvisor.com I paid for three months which cost me $59.95. I realized about an hour later when I got the confirmation that I signed up to the wrong website. I wrote to care.com explained what happened and asked them to please help. I asked for the credit telling them that I am on disability and I need the money back because every penny is accounted for. I asked them to help me and they said no. I explained that I made a mistake and once again they said no again. Any company that won't work with special circumstances where a mistake was made is NOT HONEST! I wish I could give them no stars. Don't trust the company care.com. They are dishonest.

I have tried to create an account as a nanny on this site. Their background check company, Sterling, claimed that my background check was negative, and I have a clean background. I have tried disputing this and care.com has repeatedly told me that I cannot have an account with them. They are terrible, and no one should have any business with them.

I canceled my subscription and they continued to charge me for another year!

For dårlige at man skal betale for at få kontakt til folk. Jeg betalte en gang og fik en masse coins men de er efterfølgende forsvundet!

Like most of the complaints being mentioned here, I also just found out that I have been charged constantly despite asking them to end the membership after the one month mark. Plus looks like they do not make easy for people to communicate via email even after the job posting. You get the initial reply and nobody replies after that. People do not realise they are constantly being charged as they do not sent out email/text notification to say that the money has been transferred like every other company does. I guess it's easier to steal that way. Just asking other people I know to close their accounts as they will not refund the money. When I kept asking them why I was not notified of the charge via email, there is no answer. I have been promised for a one month refund when I have been illegally charged for the last 5 months. Plus they take money out at different times of the month so if you checked your account after the first month and though it's been cancelled, Beware! The money may come out few days later or even a week later. They deserve zero star.
