I just discovered care.com has been charging for 2 years. I only signed on to check them out and cancelled right away. (I check my statements now. I didn't and regardless their behavior is still unethical.) I don't even live in the country anymore. I never received emails stating they were billing me. And after contacting them they are unwilling to refund my money. THIEVES!

Membership buys very little! I think Care.com is a rip off to people looking for someone to help. I signed up for a 3 month membership only to discover their resources in my area are very limited AND they DO NOTHING for the monthly membership other than give you a few names. They have not background checked the people who are listed and if you want to do that through them they want more money. They nickel and dime "members." I believe I would've found as many resources on my own just by getting the word out in my community. Don't waste your money!

I had a good experience reaching out and getting a qualified nanny for the summer break. However, I bought a 1 month membership for $39/mo and they continued to bill me for the next 6 months. After contacting them, their policy is NO refunds or free upgrades if you want to use the service again. You MUST call or email customer service to cancel membership or it will auto renew.

Dit is oplichting zoals ik het nog niet eerder heb mogen meemaken. Het uitschrijven dat telefonisch zou moeten gebeuren is onmogelijk daar het nummer niet in gebruik is. Zoals bij alle overige reviews kunt u ook zien hoe zei schaamteloos antwoorden op steeds hetzelfde probleem waar men tegenaan loopt namelijk het niet kunnen stopzetten van het abonnement. Via internet heet dit dan ook niet annuleren maar downgraden van je abonnement(op deze manier kan je via google niet gelijk de methode vinden om de boel stop te zetten. Zojuist ook nog even met de bank gebeld(zei adviseren om of de incasso vanaf 5 dagen van te voren via in behandeling bij internet bankieren te blokkeren of anders heb je nog 52 dagen na de automatische incasso om het terug te vorderen en de incasso stop te zetten. Ik snap niet dat deze manier van handelen niet wordt aangepakt. Ik zou degene wie hier achter zit graag een keer ontmoeten om mijn frustraties te kunnen uitten.

Als je je lidmaatschap wilt opzeggen, krijg je een telefoonnummer dat altijd bezet is. Vervolgens word je rekening wel gedebiteerd. Oppassen dus.!

I used this service to find a nanny/carer/tutor for my nephew. They took my money, as for communicating with applicants. It appeared that many applicants applied to my task, but when I contacted them back, NONE OF THEM replied to my conversations. It looks like this SCAM has set up the fake people and pretended to applied to my task, just to take my money. None of them replied to my conversation because they are NOT REAL APPLICANTS!

This site is the worst. I wanted to find a tutor for my son. the site is not user friendly; I spent a lot of time trying to figure out the difference between listing myself as a tutor and finding a tutor. Then when I finally got to the listings and selected a person, it turns out that users can only access tutor info by paying. I went through a local business instead.

Awful, misleading experience. It seemed you had to enter your cc info to pay the service providers if and when you hired them through the site. However, they billed me for $125 for an annual membership and refuse to refund it. There was no way to cancel the membership online, only a downgrade option upon renewal. Customer service is near impossible to locate - try finding a phone number on their site.
