Care.comReviews of care.com

Horrible. Shoddy business practices, garbage software. Terminated me for requesting that they show accurate stats on my page. They treat their clients like crap. *In response to their ridiculous message below, I would not even CONSIDER letting your ineptitude and faulty software impact my business so negatively again. I am sharing my experience with all clients and other associates and expect you'll be losing a lot more business in the near future. You are a shoddy, unethical company that is incapable of caring. Why dont you try truth in advertising and change your name to careless. com!

I was looking for a house keeper and opened an account at care.com. They found several good looking people in the area but I am cautious. They wanted me to upgrade and purchase a subscription to contact the housekeepers. I just got an email saying for no specific reason my account is canceled. They must think I found this website. They apparently are not trustworthy.

Absolutely awful, DO NOT USE! I signed up months ago when looking for a nanny. Genuinely thought it was a one-off £35 fee for a month then you could choose whether to do another month. Just realised they've been charging me every month since then. Tried following their instructions on their site to cancel my account, but the link they say is there is not so I'm effectively tied in until they reply to my messages! Also seriously concerned about the safety of my personal data, as I've had a phishing attempt which mentioned Care.com and I'm very worried the information used by the scammer came from Care.com. Their site won't let me delete my payment information, as well as not letting me cancel my subscription! Hoping I hear back from them very soon or I will have to take this further.... STEER CLEAR!

My wife signed up to Care.com to find a nanny about a month after our son was born. She signed up for a 3 month subscription. We found a nanny who has been great, but yesterday I notice that Care.com has been charging us $39.00 a month for the last 6 months. We didn't get any notifications about this charge, and I now see that they're official policy is no refunds for any reason. Seriously? My sleep deprived wife doesn't notice your stupid auto bill policy as we're desperately searching for child care because she trusts she's getting the 3 month service she signed up for, and your policy is to deny any refund? You've billed us $320 that we really could use for our baby and you won't give it back because you hide things in the fine print to make sure sleep deprived parents don't see them? We will not be using you again, and will not recommend you to anyone.

They are a subscription based service but they hide the recurring nature of their charges. You will be billed continually despite asking it to stop. Submitted a request for a cancellation and a refund after realizing that they were subscription based (genuinely was not aware) and never heard back. They continued to charge several months later. Still have not responded. Do not trust these people with your credit card information unless you want to make a habit of getting stop payments and disputing charges with your credit card company.

If I could give 0 stars I would! The worst service I have ever had. There is no one to talk to when you call the 800 number. This is such a scam. Do not use this service. You will not find any one legit to babysit.

I would Highly Suggest that you use an independent company similar to care.com for any of you needs, like homeadvisor, pettsitter, taskrabbit and there is another one for babysitting and I’m pretty sure there is one out there for elderly people. If you are prior military, I highly suggest that you NEVER use this site. After almost 10 years of paying an annual premium price, I decided to close my account, since I relocated and was no longer using the account. So, I attempted to reopen an account, since I am back in the area and I was told that it is impossible for me to create a new account or open my last one and no justification is required. Military people leave and come back as assigned. This service IS NOT reliable for those that travel in and out of thr country for extended periods of time. Either way, a traveler or not, I highly suggest using a different site.

I registered before I read the reviews. You need to pay £35/month to email people that are looking for a job... guessing they exist. No trial or minimum msgs... such a waste of time!
