We tried placing an ad where we live to no avail. Could not get anyone to help and care.com. Fighting hard for a refund. Don’t walk, run from these scammers!

I just set up an account and it was fairly easy.

I signed up in February to find a dog walker for my dogs. After the one month Promo code was used and the prices of the people were outrageously expensive, I went on to the website to cancel my subscription and every month they would still charge my credit card. Every month I would go back on to the website to find out why and it would show "cancel subscription" which I do. I can't help but wonder why it wasn't allowing me to cancel the subscription so after five months of continuously cancelling it through the website I tried to delete my credit card information so they won';t charge me anymore and they won't let me delete the information. I finally called my credit card company to put the charges in dispute. I have had just about enough of this scam.

Worst experience ever! They say they have all these people available for you, but when they return searches for you, they all say,"Not Available for hire"!!!!! When you pay for their service so you can message providers, you don't get any replies from the people they have listed as available!!! When you post a job, you get no replies for it!!! SO WHAT ARE WE PAYING CARE.COM FOR??!! What a SCAM!!! DON"T USE THIS SERVICE!!!

i have now read many others who have said this: be careful. You sign up, thinking it's a one month/three month thing. Suddenly we noticed literally months of charges. they send no emails when they are charging you, they just keep going without warning. they then claim "it was in the T&Cs" but honestly, we found our caregiver and moved on. we were desperate to help our parents. not ok, and who charges 50$ for this anyhow?? so here i am - i will carry on writing everywhere i can until they respond to me.

I want to provide eldercare near me. Their "let's get started" page for making a profile had two options, wanting/needing care or providing care. I pushed the providing care button. It asked me what care I needed and then wanted to know how old my child was who needed care. SMH The "want a care job" button that they offered was empty and shunted me to the "need care" questions. Maybe this is why people aren't finding providers? Also, their website describes all the different kinds of care they can facilitate. Not so.

They provide little to no services and make it hard for you to cancel your subscription. I thought I cancelled mine and it apparently didn't work. When I noticed they kept charging my credit card I reached out to them and they were of no help. Moreover their fees are way too expensive. I reached out to a few of the ads posted by potential nannies and no one replied to me. Biggest waste of money.

I was just looking for a cleaner, makes you sign up for an account, and go through a whole process of getting it set up and filled out. Then as soon as you try and contact someone it asks you to subscribe for almost as much per month as I'm going to pay the cleaner. What a waste of time and a stupid business model. If you're going to use that model at least be transparent from the start before sign up and not waste peoples time. My advice, don't even bother
