Horrible and unprofessional babysitters. They do not respond or follow through for interviews. When you write negative reviews on their lack of professionalism they lash out and send harassing messages. I reached out to the company and they will not refund any money.

Care.com is a scam. If you have a basic account you can’t contact them. It says it right on their website that you have to have the premium account to contact them at all. I was also forced to pay for the background check or I couldn’t get into my account. I’m trying to cancel but there seems to only be a way to pause. I’ll be looking into the legality of this because I don’t believe this is legal at all. Edit: obviously I knew it wasn’t free, but I shouldn’t have to have a premium account JUST TO CONTACT YOU. I want a refund and cancellation. This is ridiculous and so unhelpful UPDATE: I messaged them on Facebook and they said I wouldn’t be charged anymore. Surprise surprise I was charged again.

I hired a dog walker from this company. The company charged me huge fees, and only paid her partially. I was expected to pay her the balance separately. When I needed to clarify, I found it impossible to reach them by phone. Too much of an hour, and 2 chat cust service agents later, I had to leave for work. By the way, just to get to 'chat' w a real person, I had to sign up for 'Premium Membership'. The whole thing was very frustrating. Also, dog walker was unaccountably rude from the beginning, but I was too busy to arrange anything else. That's just luck of the draw. Anyway, the dogs liked her. #20.48 per day, walker only gets $11. That's per day that they are helping themselves to your money. I do not recommend this company.

Horrible horrible, run away from Care.com, they only interested in taking your money, never add your card in the website if possible. Ensure you set up a reminder to call them to cancel if you did a month subscription, the website will not let you cancel automatically or from the site.

I like care.com for the service it provides. We found my mom's caregiver through it, and we're very happy with her. What I hate is the Care.com site and the complete lack of technical support. I'm trying to set up an account for my sister to apply for senior caregiver positions. Somehow, care.com decided she wants babysitting jobs instead. When I realized it had her listed for the wrong type of job, I went back and changed it to "senior caregiver." As I proceeded forward, it had changed it back to babysitting positions! Now, it won't allow me to go back to try and change it again, it won't allow me to logout and log back in, and there is absolutely no way to contact any kind of customer support. I did get a pop-up saying that I would have to upgrade the account in order to get support, but it won't even allow me to do that! The FAQ's, of course, don't cover my question. I was able to get a phone number from GetHuman.com, but the recording says to check the FAQ's on the site and then hangs up on you! It's an infuriatingly non-user-friendly experience and impossible to correct. :0(

My partner initially joined for a one-off service. Ten months later we discovered they had been directly debiting her account $45 per month, but she gave no consent and never used their services after her first attempt. Trying to get a refund they just give you the run around. No direct contact number or location listed on the website. Beware of dealing with this company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANIES SERVICES. I signed up wanting to be a babysitter. Made my profile and everything, then it said to get a mandatory background check done, I'd need to pay $18.99. I paid it, put in all of my information for the background check, then they told me it couldn't be completed!! I tried several times, triple checking my SSN and everything else but everytime it told me they couldn't complete my background check. Now I've been scammed of $18.99 and it's absolutely impossible to find any customer service information to get a refund. Absolute BS. This number was posted by someone else here and I thought I'd share it too (down below). They didn't answer when I called (I'll have to try calling during business hours tomorrow) but fingers crossed I can get this fixed. 737-202-3114

I was charged 134 quarterly and didn’t know they automatically bill. It was not made clear when I signed up. In addition it is impossible to find where to cancel. I called customer service and was told to check the website and was disconnected. I tried to chat with someone and it was a long wait. I emailed and got the response that my account is cancelled in August but the billing they just did is non refundable. I haven’t used them in a long time. Horrible customer service and deceptive billing practices.
