This company is not trustworthy. I canceled my account and asked for a refund. Was told I could receive a partial refund but would have to wait to hear from a supervisor about a total refund. Their response was delayed, then they denied any refund whatsoever. I recommend not doing business with this company!

The sign up process is designed to trick you. After your initial payment, they autorenew your subscription WITHOUT ever sending you any kind of notification about renewal or a transaction receipt. Once you notice, they refuse to refund anything and point to their terms of service. Of course, it is technically my fault for not noticing this sooner but it's a scummy business practice and you should stay far away from this company. They charged me $320 for a service I never knew I was signed up for still. In reply to care.com: many businesses autorenew subscriptions, that is not the issue. The issue is that you do not send any kind of reminder that the subscription is about to be renewed or even a transaction statement confirming a charge was made to the account / card on file. You can hide behind your terms of service all day long and no one is claiming you are doing anything illegal. The fact of the matter is that it is a scummy way to operate, and people should be made aware that you do not accommodate customers in any way when they get caught in this practice.

Signed up. Paid the membership and 2 hours later my account was closed. No reason why just took my money and they closed my account. RUN!! don’t sign up. They take your money and then close the account I had friends tell me that it’s happened to them and I thought they were being rediculous. It’s a scam company who will most likely be taken down by the govt soon. LEAVE ME ALONE. I Just received a challenge to my review claiming I’m a fake reviewer lucky me I save everything and I emailed trustpilot my charge and the fact that you canceled my membership after you charged me. SCAMMERS THRU AND THRU.

Do everything in your power to avoid giving them your payment info. They will charge you for a subscription you didn't ask for and refuse to issue a refund. I will make it my personal mission to make sure that no one I know in my circle of parents EVER uses this website for child care. Their failure to own up and issue a refund will cost them how much in profits over the years, because of their incredibly evil subscription policies. To anyone reading this: USE THEIR COMPETITORS, DO NOT USE THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. I would not be leaving this review and instead would be leaving a positive own if they owned up and refunded.

If I could give less than one star I would, they slipped in the "by the way this will auto-renew comment" with the initial sign-up email from a year ago (I had to search my emails to find it) to find care for my mother. Never sent a reminder mail just charged $155 to her credit card after a year. Now digging through their website and seeing these comments I know it would be a waste of my time to call and try to get a refund for a woman that's now struggling to pay for an assisted living facility. Be smart find a local company that will deal with taxes and have other people to fill in if there is an emergency, do not deal with a faceless company that doesn't provide any support or really care at all. I wish I read the reviews before trying this service last year.

Horrible company.DO NOT USE!!! I signed up for 1 month service at $39.95 only to find out 4 months later that continue to charge me every month for 3 extra months without my permission. I was told by Care.com that they secretly sent an email stating that they automatically signed me up for auto-pay with the choice to stop auto-pay. None of this was explained to me when I ordered their service for only 1 month. When I explained that this theft by deception, they refused to refund the 3 months I never agreed to. I will repot them to the State Attorney Generals of Texas and Pennsylvania. Hopeful these crooks will do some prison time.

I used care.com in July. The applicants they sent me had no references or relevant experience. After 1 week I downgraded my account in the settings so I would not be billed for another month. In November I saw they had been billing me $49/month, despite my downgrade. I contacted them several times and they refused to issue a refund, hiding behind terms in a user agreement. I understand recurring charges. What I do not understand is a company that does not downgrade the account when the user hits the big orange downgrade button. To lock a user in this way is known as dark pattens and is illegal. Stay away from care.com In response to the below comment from Care.com: Thank you to care.com for responding and then still not crediting me back for the unused months. To be clear, I have ONE account which I downgraded to basic by pushing a big orange buttons that says “downgrade account” in account settings. Care.com continued to bill me for several months with no notification that I was being charged. The transparency they speak of in the response below is nonexistent. A transparent company would send an email each time you are charged. A transparent company would downgrade your account when you push a button that says downgrade account. What care.com does is known as dark patterns and it’s illegal.

I don't see the point of this app. You cannot contact parents even when paying for a membership. There is also no option of contacting care.com if you don't pay. Don't even bother, I'm not sure who came up with this business model?!?
