Didn’t work out

We had a wonderful first experience with Ananyah. She arrived on time, was calm and confident, and immediately took initiative in a way that felt very reassuring as a parent. She was attentive and patient with our toddler, followed routines well, and communicated clearly throughout the day. Our child felt comfortable with her quickly, which speaks volumes. She was also respectful of our home and asked thoughtful questions to make sure she was providing the best care possible. By the end of the day, it was clear she is dependable, capable, and genuinely enjoys caring for children. We have been disappointed with other cleaning services but Irene went above and beyond with her cleaning today. So grateful to get her last minute before Christmas but look forward to booking her again. Amazing job on our home!

First time using this site. Being a retired nurse and wanting the best care and person for my mom, I checked care providers very well from their profiles and the one I hired was very impressed with. Met with her and seems to be a very good fit. Will know more once the first scheduled day is completed.

#1 Once you put a card on file you can NEVER get rid of it. It is uploaded on the site until it expires. This is a manipulative approach that poor companies do when their service is horrible and no one wants to continue a membership. #2 I joined the site after seeing 3 profiles that I really liked. I paid the fee. I contacted them. NONE of them got back to me. I didn't even discussed cost, schedule or anything because nothing happened. I'm actually wondering if they have ghost profiles of amazing people who don't actually work through the site, that way you pay the membership fee. #3 On the other hand, I had about 30 people contact me. Half of them had mug shot photos that were unprofessional. Some of them didn't know how to communicate clearly in an email, using three word responses. That was not reassuring. #4 Of the 30 who contacted me, The other half wanted $30-40/hour for Elderly Companion care. No nursing, no showers, no meds, no changing clothes, no driving. Just companion care and heat up microwaved meals. I could hire a CNA from a legit company for the same amount or less. It made no sense because the profile would say 18-25 per hour, but in communication they all wanted 30+/hour. Every single person who I contacted back, all of them wanted more money than was indicated in their profile. Its a classic bait and switch. **Before you pay, it looks like they have a huge network of people who are professional and affordable. When you actually use the site, none of that exists. I would say it is false marketing just to have you pay the fees.

I've used Care.com for many years to find jobs. I recently even tried using other similar sites just to give them a try and nothing compares. Using this website is straight to the point and very user friendly. Care also has other job categories besides nannying which is amazing. Care has a yearly low price point to use their site including their upgrade packages. I also appreciate that they have real customer service representatives who can help you with any issues along the way. I would like to include that despite some reviews out there Care actually does have the caregivers back. About a year ago I watched a lady's two kids a couple of times who never paid me which I believed she did to many other Caregivers in the past. To our advantage they removed her from using the site. Hands down Care is for the people site and a great site to find work.

It was a little hard to get someone willing to come clean on the date I wanted to do what I need but I was finally able to get a nice lady booked for the job. I was flexible however if I had not been I would not have been able to hire someone.
