Care.comReviews of care.com

We're looking for a driver and aide in two places, Salem, MA and Somerville, MA. I'm getting applications from people in Burlington, Quincy, Reading, Waltham, and many other places that aren't applicable. If it's very nearby, such as Cambridge for Somerville, that's fine. But most of these are too far to provide the local assistance that is needed, so this is taking a huge amount of time. I'm just going to focus on Somerville now. Kindly only send applications from appropriate locations. Thank you.

I was trying to upgrade my account and called customer support for help. They told me to troubleshoot, which I did. Then, without my asking, they cancelled my account entirely. I emailed customer support multiple times asking why they cancelled my account and have yet to receive a response.

Was ghosted by a client who needed dog walking services. After communicating with customer service, I was essentially told to “reach out to the client to see if they still needed me.” As if that wasn’t the first thing I did. Useless customer service. Beware.

I had wanted to pay annually not monthly for Care.com but I accidentally touched the subscribe button, I contacted them and they told me that it would take a few days to change it but that I could go ahead and use their services. I had many replies to my request for a sitter. So there was many to choose from. We chose Ana, met all of our needs and immediately connected with our daughter. And they did change it back to the annual pay! All around very helpful!

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR CARE.COM, even when you cancel your membership, have proof they've confirmed cancellation, and have removed them from "approved vendors" in your CC account, they will continue to charge you. Even after having to waste hours on the phone to get them to refund you and assure you they have cancelled AND they have sent you a confirmation your membership is cancelled, they will STILL charge you the next month. TERRIBLE company. Should be shut down - worst experience ever! Edited to add: I can provide screencaps from membership cancellation confirmation emails, refund confirmation from the last time they processed an unauthorized charge, and proof of both unauthorized charges, if trustpilot will allow image uploads. UPDATE 2/5/2025: Care.com reached out, acknowledged their "mistake" and confirmed they will refund me - but they can only mail me a check and the refund will take TWO MONTHS. In my opinion, this is unacceptable.

A woman named “Lisa” called me saying she was from your management team. I have the whole call recorded and can share with you. She seemed like she was ready to make a refund happen but that was never her intention. I mentioned to her that it was hard to understand the care.com call center and that the language barrier of my English dialect versus the CSR’s English dialect can be difficult. She then proceeded to call me racist and make false claims of me calling in 25 times as well as saying I used profanity in an email. Never once did I use profanity at all and I would love to see the email that she has to show this since it doesn’t exist. All false and have on record. To boot, she then thought it would be funny to get a fictitious “IT person” on the phone to answer “security questions” to instead ask disparaging questions posed as security questions which I also have recorded. How is this company in business with treating a paid customer like this? Wild!! Brad the CEO must be ashamed. Come on, man. This is absolutely and utterly ridiculous. Can’t make this stuff up.

No housekeepers called me back. Your site is not in my best interesrts and I'm requesting a refund.

If I could give them a negative number I would!! Worst company I’ve ever dealt with. I had never heard of this company and even if I had I never would sign up for something I have no use for! That would be ludicrous, however they took money out of my meager bank account without authorization from me. When I contacted customer service they told me they do not give refunds!! Seriously??? What kind of legitimate company does this? I want to let everyone know how uncaring and unscrupulous they are. If you have any ideas how to accomplish this please let me know. DO NOT UTILIZE THIS COMPANY!!!
