Picked this company because of reviews I read. Was nervous that I was unfamiliar with this company and mostly everything was online. I had multiple offers from other companies and one of them told me that the rate Cardinal was giving me could not be right. But the rate and monthly payment quote turned out to be even less!

Refinancing was quick and easy, the dashboard was easy to follow and streamlined.

I rarely leave a bad review. The lender I worked with was extremely difficult to get a hold of. Which is weird because when I first spoke with him he was super nice and helpful. The most frustrating part of the process are the documents the underwriters request, and I understand Cardinal Financial has 0 control on this, but some guidance on what specifically would work for the underwriter would be great. Just an extremely frustrating process and a complete waste of time. The amount of documentation I already provided is insane and it's a huge let down I can't get any guidance to finish the process. Speaking to their customer service team is no help at all. They just read the instructions that you can read in the portal.

Jim Tolbert is a wonderful person to work with. We recently refinanced our home mortgage and Jim and his team kept us informed every step of the way. Their on-line tools were easy to use and streamlined what historically has been a difficult process. Jim took time to explain every recommendation and any element of the process that we didn't understand, I would use him again and would highly recommend him to anyone I know.
