I received funds from my claim within one week of it being settled. There was a glitch in that the original police report I sent did not contain all the necessary information. I was not notified but had to follow up on line to ascertain that an additional report was necessary and then follow up by phone.

I was very nervous after hearing how bad eclaimsline is. I rented a car through chase travel and used reward points. The car got damaged. At first starting the claim was a little confusing because I didn’t have all the documents they asked for. I worked with the rental company to get the remaining documents they required. It took about a month for me to get everything, but as soon as I had it all uploaded, they reviewed and approved my claim. You should stay on top of it, but I can say it is doable to get your money back!

After reading Trustpilot reviews, I was scared when a recent trip got cancelled due to family illness. I should note it was a pretty black and white medical situation and we had a doctor's note advising not to travel. In the end, I was pleasantly surprised with the experience. I've always appreciated having the trip cancellation benefit through Chase, but this was the first time actually filing a claim. While the process could be improved, it was fairly seamless and it was nice that it could be done entirely online. The documentation requests were reasonable - my only complaint is they requested the same thing multiple times after it was already provided. In the end, it took 18 calendar days to get my claim approved for payment (a cancelled cruise) and after submitting direct deposit info, only one calendar day to get reimbursed, which I found impressive. All in all, I feel confident enough to continue not purchasing a separate travel insurance policy. You may need to be persistent to get paid.

UPDATE to my UPDATE regarding my experiences with Trip Cancellation/Interruption insurance through Eclaimsline.com, as offered as a regular benefit of my Chase VISA credit card, this time my United Airlines Explorer VISA : - Six days ago I checked on a second claim, this time for a 1-way flight from Athens to Marseille in the amount of $337 (after partial reimbursement from Aegean Airlines). - That query showed the status as "Check printed Dec. 5, 2022" and would arrive in 7 to 10 business days; the check arrived via U.S. Mail today, Dec. 13. So I guess that Card Benefit Services, operating as Eclaimsline.com, IS legit. However, they might be understaffed and require more time to process claims. Also, you definitely need to be persistent and have all your "documentation ducks" in a row; you can also submit "notes" explaining any aspects of your claim or documentation.

We had the unpleasant experience in battling with a rental car agency about some tiny surface scratches they claim we made to the car. I knew I had insurance coverage through Chase, so at the end of the day I agreed to pay for the damages (over $1000) and hoped that I could claim the money back through the insurance. When I got home I read the reviews and I started to get really nervous that I would never see that money again and that the insurance company would try to avoid paying me somehow (has happened before with other insurance coverage)...I'm happy to report that couldn't be further from the truth. The entire process took 2 weeks from start to finish (and that's mainly because I was missing two documents). I even had a question about some extra documents they were requesting, so I called and someone answered within 2 minutes and was extremely helpful and friendly. Each time I submitted new documents, it took about 2 days for someone to review and get back to me. Maybe it was because my expectations were lowered to the floor because of these reviews, but we were impressed. I will say however that they can still improve by providing better descriptions or examples of the documents requested. Also if a document is missing or not sufficient, they just request the document again with a standard letter instead of giving more information about exactly what they need from you or why your document wasn't sufficient. So for that reason I give them 4 stars.

It took 2 months to get paid but they could have been delayed due to Covid 19 situation..plus: great accessibility-24/7; CSRs very polite and informative; easy to file and submit docs online; I was actually able to speak with the claims examiner. negative: had been asked for the same info several times; delays in processing documentation.

I was skeptical that my rental car cdw claim would be approved after reading numerous negative reviews. I mailed all the requested documents and a week later received an e-mail informing me my claim had been approved and requesting payment instructions, Ten days later I received a check for the full amount. I was very pleased with the handling of my claim.

My wife and I made submitted a claim through the Eclaimsline when we had to cancel a trip because of a health issue. We have the Chase Sapphire Reserve card. We were apprehensive after reading all the negative reviews on this site. Our experience with the agents was actually very good - very helpful, very pleasant. Our experience with the online system, however, was horrible. Very user unfriendly! Based on our experience, I suspect that the negative reviews were more an issue with the system and not the agents. I recommend calling an agent to help you through the system if you have problems. We are keeping our Sapphire Reserve card!
