they did as promised. it took a while and some persistence but I did get paid out for my claim

I wish I was informed and kept communicated throughout the process. Even though it was easier to work with the claims department and the claim was successfully paid, I was blindsided on the final decision and I had to keep calling the card benefit services team.

Because I filed an international claim, I was only able to receive the money via paper check and not electronically. This was quite a nuisance, because there was so much more waiting time because of that, and I do not have a smartphone, so to deposit the check I have to borrow one, and then go through the whole verification process. I think everyone should have the option to get the money through direct deposit, as this is a travel card so it is very normal for claims to be international.

I filed a claim for a fender bender in France for a rental car through Chase. Process was smooth, after sending the docs they asked me for more info which I provided. The only thing was it wasn't clear if I had to have the documents translated since they were in French. I translated them myself in the end as I speak French but it probably wasn't necessary, it just was not clear from when I spoke to the agent ("you can do it yourself or maybe we can do it". Since I wanted this to proceed fast, I did it myself.

Fairly straightforward process to file a claim online. I spoke with several representatives as it took almost three months to resolve this collision damage issue from Avis Ireland. I submitted everything the insurer wanted within a few weeks. It took much longer than it should have because e-claims wanted an itemized list of charges. This is totally reasonable but Avis Ireland customer service was terribly unresponsive and claimed that the insurance company never requested the information. I know that is false because e-claims copied me into the email request. I don't believe they ever responded to e-claims. Finally e-claims reimbursed me but it took much longer than it should have. I attribute this to Avis Ireland more than e-claims but if anything can be improved from e-claims, it would be to not wait for the auto rental company to supply them information if the customer has already done so. Nevertheless, I am happy with e-claims and I would not hesitate to use my Chase Sapphire card to secure auto rental collision insurance in the future.

I'm pretty pessimistic when it comes to insurance and claims and was always very skeptical about relying on my Chase Sapphire Card (which uses eclaimsline), but I'm really glad that I did. And I will now most definitely make a point to always use my Sapphire card especially for high ticket purchases and car rentals. What a fantastic benefit. Thank you.

Website not great- service excellent! Sometimes I wasn't sure if things I sent in were uploaded, and I wasn't always able to answer the questions. However, the responses were quick, and I was reimbursed within weeks.

A lengthy process as they seem to ask for same documentation several times, but all e-mails and submittals were acknowledged and even though the customer representatives could not confirm or clarify much, they would have the claims examiner call me as they promised and he was always able to clarify the situation. I love having this card benefit so that I can decline the pricey rental car insurance. Though a process to file the claim, they did pay all the minor car damage costs I incurred.
