This benefit saved us when an unknown person/object/vehicle slammed into our rental van overnight. We didn't know we had the benefit as Capital One Venture cardholders, and what a relief when we discovered we were covered. Once we filed, things moved smoothly. The only real snag was the website kept crashing on both Chrome and Safari. We had to use a different computer to file. Also, Budget was not being forthcoming with documents. Thats not Capital One's fault, but it was problematic as the rental was overseas. Nonetheless we got reimbursed and we are very pleased with this service on our card.

I've never needed to file a claim in the past but I was recently in Los Angeles and didn't realize that someone side-swiped our rental vehicle in the parking lot of the hotel. We were informed of the damage when we returned the rental. Thankfully, I knew my Visa Infinite card carried primary auto damage insurance and looked up how to file a claim. I was able to submit the rental agreement information immediately and uploaded a copy of the damage letter once I received it from the rental car agency. From there, the card claims center sent payment directly to the rental car agency and my claim was satisfied. It was easy and made me feel good about using my credit card for all of my purchases, especially those related to travel.

Streamlined and simple process to upload relevant documents (invoice, damage assessment, etc) and receive feedback on what documents are still required, throughout the claims procedure.

Great experience as I didn’t have any issues and the process was simple. I followed the instructions and got a follow up email of what was missing. Sent that the next day and didn’t have to do anything else. Didn’t even have to talk to anyone or argue my case. Stress free experience.
