I have created two claims in the past: - airfare reimbursement - car rental damage reimbursement The airfare reimbursement took a couple of months. The car rental damage reimbursement took 19 days. I was able to get refunded in both cases. Just be patient. The only downside on the process is that I didn't have a person's name to get back to get status on the claim.

United stranded me in O'Hare with no available flights until the next day for to complete my trip. That sort of thing happens at least once a year now. Rather than sleeping on the airport floor, I spent acomfortable night in the O'Hare Hilton. United denied responsibility and refused to reimburse me but the entire cost was repaid by Eclaimsline under the trip interruption benefit of my Chase Sapphire Reserve card. With all airlines being incompetent and uncaring when it comes to meeting schedules, the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card is even more essential for anyone traveling. Travel insurance is by far the most important feature of the card. I use the card for all my travel expenses.
