I rented a car overseas using my Chase card. Declined the additional insurance as instructed by Chase. Had an accident. Paid the $550 deductible car rental company had on the contract. Return back to USA, submitted the claim. two whole months passed. They keep requesting additional documentation every week. Never ending. Now they want me to provide a repair documentation for the car I returned back to rental company in another country (5000 miles away). Wasting hours on the phone. WORTHLESS company. Designed to make your life miserable and impossible to get what they promised to you when you use your card. SHAME.

Trip Delay Reimbursement Nightmare
My trip delay occured 4/7/2022. I called immediately and Visa Signature(I had a chase card, but many providers use visa signature) told me what documentation I would need. I submitted all the documentation and filed the claim on 4/10/22. It is now 7/1/2022 and they only reimbursed me for $221 out of my $500 of expenses that are eligible for reimbursement.
They don't respond to emails. I've spent 1.5 hrs on hold without even talking to a person. The next time I called, I waited 30 mins and then I gave up.
When you call, you don't get to talk to the underwriters. You talk to the surface level agents who do a good job of talking you off the ledge, but it doesn't change how fast the process goes.
Tl:dr, ignore ALL benefits that are provided by visa signature. You may get SOMETHING but it'll take you 4< months of babysitting to get a fraction of what you're entitled to.

This message is intended to describe my…
This message is intended to describe my experience filing eclaims with your vendor Card Benefit Services. I would first like to start off by saying that the claims process has been one of the worst, most disorganized and incompetent experiences I have ever had to endure. Over the phone from the beginning, I was given incomplete information about how to proceed with the claims process which caused me to have to constantly upload and re upload documents I was told would be taken care of as all the claims will be looked at in conjunction with one another as all the documents pertain to the same trip. This was not true, and I constantly had to go back to try and figure out what was missing. This was done by waiting on hold over the phone with Card Benefit Services every time I reached out to figure out what was needed. My claims would then still be denied for things I had already uploaded and as a result would have to constantly call to get a hold of a customer service representative who would then have to "notate the account" just for the claim to get denied again. I work in customer service as a part of my sales position and as customer focused as everybody is these days a constant run around is not the kind of customer service, I would ever want for anyone. Most if not all my expenses including the booking of my hotel were through the chase sapphire reward center or made on the card itself. I have had to spend ample time, money and resources to organize and reorganize everything the claims department has asked for and most times in duplication of documents already submitted on my part. Getting doctors notes, waiting on hold over the phone, and contacting vendors for receipts has not gotten me anywhere. Had I been told up front that the documents I had from where I had them given my circumstance wasn't going to generally be enough based off of what is known to be needed and how things were explained to me, I would have never even taken this route knowing so much of my time and energy were going to be wasted. I have multiple Chase accounts and expect better service. From my experiences thus far the Chase Sapphire Preferred card comes with VERY limited built-in benefits so you I can NOT do what I want to do with confidence.

This travel insurance is a total scam
Do not use this travel insurance. I decided to use them for a trip I had to cancel due to COVID-19.
The trip ended in late January. I submitted the claim about a month later in early March. It is now almost July and they have not reimbursed me yet.
They take weeks to review each document submission I upload (even though their automated email system says 3-5 business days).
They've come back to me twice now asking for more documentation. The documentation they have asked for is either (1) irrelevant or (2) already submitted.
DO NOT USE THIS INSURANCE PROVIDER. You will run around in circles trying to get reimbursed, and you'll never get paid.
[Side note: these type of delay tactics are illegal in most states, so feel free to take legal action against your travel insurance provider if you're experiencing the same problem]

Hoop jumping and run-around stall tactics
The bad reviews are not exaggerating. It's difficult to describe how bad the experience with this company is. I had a Chase Sapphire Reserve travel card and used Eclaimsline for three small trip delay/interruption claims in the past year. The first two were reimbursed after 3 and 4 months and the third was denied after 6 months. In all cases, I provided all of the required information in my initial claims. For all three, Eclaimsline emailed multiple times, many weeks and months later, asking for information that had already been provided. Their email requests for information are generic and provide no specifics on what they, supposedly, need. This required a call to Eclaims to point them to the to the well labeled documentation I had already provided. The antiquated and glitchy website contains required fields for information that does not pertain to the claim type and uploading documents is not a smooth process. Their goal seems to be to intentionally confuse, delay, and frustrate you until you give up…the larger the claim amount, the more this tactic is applied (even if it is less complex). I, recently, retired so, out of obstinance, put in about 30 hours of work into three claims to get less than $200 in ‘benefits’. I canceled my Chase Card because of this (Chase doesn’t seem to care) and I am looking for a travel card that doesn’t use this company.

This company, who handles claims for my AAA Bank of America Visa, is a total scam! Prior to renting a car to travel over the holidays, I reached out to BofA to inquire if my car rental would be covered by their card member benefits program. I was told I would be covered.
However, after my rental car was damaged due to a rockslide in Oregon, I filed a claim with their Insurance carrier Eclaims Line. After 6 months of corresponding back and forth, with them having me upload the same documents multiple times. Im told my claim is denied because i had the vehicle for more than 15 days. Now, its December, I'm in Northern Washington State, snow everywhere and I had to order parts at a dealership an hour away. I had to extend my car rental which was for a total of 14 Days to 21 days as the parts would not be in till then. My Budget Rental car receipt clearly shows that I had to extend my car rental for 7 Days due to the parts not being available. Now Im out 1000s of dollars! Thanks Bank Of America, and shame on AAA for endorsing this card.

DO NOT EXPECT TO ACTUALLY BE COVERED BY CHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE
Absolutely the worst customer experience ever and that includes Verizon and Spectrum TV.
Do not plan to use your Chase Card "travel insurance" without spending hours sending information, waiting on hold to talk to someone about your claim, and then listening to a "claims reimbursement specialist" ask for the documentation that Travelocity travel insurance did not reimburse for an AirBnB lodging.
Looking into the BBB or US Rep or Senator to see if I can bring a claim against this company for fraud.
