This place needs a class action lawsuit against them, it's such a scam. They purposely provide very few lines to get through to, shoddy service that hangs up on you, doesn't recognize info you give them, and they constantly give you runaround. I filed a claim in July and had to call dozens of times, providing every little document, and 6 months later, they finally approved only a fraction of the claim. THEY WANT YOU TO GIVE UP. I have a Chase Sapphire with an annual fee and this is the service you get? I'm done with Chase or any CC company that uses eclaimsline.

Do Not Use A Chase Credit Card For Purchase Protection
Allow me to lay out a timeline to display Eclaimsline deceptive techniques.
Aug 14th 2022 – Claim Filed
Aug 19th 2022 – Email received stating I needed to upload a Common Carrier Statement verifying cause of delay and a copy of my updated itinerary.
Sep 16th 2022 – Common Carrier statement was received from the airline and uploaded to my claim in addition to the updated itinerary.
October 10th 2022 – After not hearing anything from Eclaimsline I called only to find out that additional documentation was needed: Common Carrier Statement (which I already uploaded) and update flight itinerary (also uploaded as well). Email was sent stating I needed these documents.
October 11th 2022 – I received another email stating I now only needed an updated flight itinerary. This raised the question as to why was my Common Carrier Statement not verified when I uploaded it on September 16th 2022? It was only verified when I called to inquire about it almost a month later. This shows that they only work on your claim when you call to inquire and that their high claim volume excuse is nothing more than an excuse. A business practice hoping people forget about their claim is shallow and deceptive.
October 27th 2022 – I call again to inquire after not hearing anything. I was transferred to another claims examiner who now told me not all my receipts are correct and I needed to upload additional documentation. Now I am asking why was this not caught by the previous three examiners that I spoke with or why is this not mentioned in the previous emails. The examiner could not give me a reason and simply told me if I wanted my claim to be approved then I needed to upload the additional receipt documentation. This shows 1 of 2 possible reasons. They were just trying to delay the process even further by making up reasons or the more likely method that my receipt documentation was inadequate and instead the previous claim examiners decided I would find that out next time called further delaying my claim and them having to payout my claim. The second method would allow them to be deceptive while operating within their company’s fine print for claims. I was unable to upload the documentation directly to my claim due to website error so sent them to their general Eclaimsline email then received confirmation that my email was received.
November 27th 2022 – I checked my claim status online only to find out it had been closed yet I still haven’t received a payout for my claim. I was not notified in any way that my claim was closed. I called and the Customer Service Rep informed me that my claim was closed due to my Common Carrier Statement for reason for delay was not covered under the purchase protection benefit. Keep in mind I uploaded my Common Carrier Statement on September 16th and it was removed from the required documentation list in the email I received on October 11th. This reasonably would mean that the statement had been excepted. On top of this I spoke to three claims examiners after this point who did not mention that the Common Carrier Statement was not covered. I was told my Common Carrier Statement looked good and that I just needed additional documentation in regards to my receipts. They must have been waiting to see if I give up and if not then they will use this as a trump card.
Documenting all these events into a single timeline displays and proves their lack of consistency and deceptive business practices. Overall their goal is to prolong the process to frustrate customers into forgetting or giving up entirely so they can avoid a payout or buy themselves time to find an error in the claim to avoid a payout.
I guess in the end they won as I am no longer pursuing payment because my time is more valuable than wasting it with this company. If the amount I was trying to claim was larger than I would've pursued legal action. However, Chase lost a customer when it comes to making large travel purchases on my Sapphire credit card due to the poor purchase protection given the annual fee I pay. I have heard AMEX providers better purchase protection customer service with much less headache and I will proceed with them moving forward with my travel needs. I understand some people try to take advantage of insurance payouts but most upload appropriate documentation and should be paid out in an appropriate way.
I hope whoever reads will take the time to think about if filing a claim with Eclaimsline is really worth their personal time that could be spent doing other things and second guess using Chase card protection services.

Delay the claim without any reason
I have the same problem with eclaimsline. It has been 6 months and w all BS they gave to delay my claim even though they have received all my documents. If anyone see my review please go to sapphire reserve fb group to share your bad experience. Im sure they can not ignore the problem if there are enough ppl cancel their cards.

terrible company
terrible company. They find any excuses, only not to pay you. Even after sending dozens types of documents, they are still asking for the same documents masked with different names. They make it impossible to get the money back

This service sucks is the most awful…
This service sucks is the most awful service, it is made for people to get tired of waiting and for the company not to approve anything.
My experience parallels that of so many of the other reviewers. My suggestion: do as I have, and file a COMPLAINT with your STATE INSURANCE COMMISSION, and also with your state ATTORNEY GENERAL'S CONSUMER FRAUD division. Also, you might file complaints against CHASE BANK, as they are the ones who offer this "benefit" as an enticement to purchase in their card.

Paid to Lie?
I called to start a claim well before the 45 day limit (although the Visa rep for my card told me 90 days) When a subsequent rep couldn't find a record of my claim, I told her the first name of the person who took the my claim info. She told me they had no rep by that name. (Strange because reps 1, 2, & 3 sounded like the same person. They each had the same very identifiable dialect that a customer like myself would be very hesitant to categorize for obvious reasons) Anyway it went downhill at lightning speed from there. Not going to cite each problem or roadblock - they're the same as everyone else's who gave a one star rating. We've pretty much established every negative thing one can about this company.
But I have some questions that I think are not only relevant but important to the entire issue.
My questions are
1) Is there any other company that handles credit card travel & car rental claims for credit card companies???
2) Do credit card companies, especially the bigger ones, know how awful the process, service & desired outcome rate is?
3) If they do know do they not care? With their enormous clout, the issuing companies representing hundreds of thousands of cards could certainly demand & receive better service, a lot better.
4) In the rare case of an approved claim, whose dollars pay the bill? I think, but I'm not sure, that this company is actually an insurance company so either could be paying the bill.
No method available for a direct response but if ANYONE has answers to ANY of my question, please post here. I'll check periodically. Thank you in advance.

Not feeling very Preferred with my Chase card…..
I proudly carried a Chase Sapphire Preferred card for over 10 years, confident that I was insured for travel. I filed a Lost Luggage claim on 8/31/22 and I’m still trying to receive compensation. The process is akin to a very bad joke. The same docs are repeatedly requested. It’s next to impossible to speak to anyone. And, one needs a receipt for each item, in our case, in 2 pieces of luggage for a 10 day cruise. Chase has outsourced the insurance which now is almost non-existent. I have reluctantly decided to cancel the card.
What a disappointment.
