Capital One Travel Price match policy is not good. First they will tell you we will match the price and give you the credit back. I was on the phone with the CapitalOne Travel agent and he told me to book it even it was a big price difference. He kept repeating don't worry we will match when I booked it then he transfer me to Price match department and they didn't do any price match. I even requested them to cancel it because I booked it because they told me to do that .. I won't recommendt people to book it from Capiutal One. Expedia prices are much better and you don't have to waste your time. I was charged $476.17 extra by capital One. I was talking to Capita One Agent (Megan) when I asked her to transfer me to supervisor or Manager she refused me to transfer . She was very rude. I won't recommend people to book travel from Capital One

I’ve been a capital one member for some time now, and used the venture cards for work…the good is that the redemption process and ability to create alternate cards…is great. However, the customer service, certain policies are subpar. Booking through their capital one travel site for our first NY trip back at the end of March turned out to be the last straw. Booked in advance, about a month prior…finally arrive on a red eye. The hotel “millennium time square” was extremely unacceptable. Dirty rooms, hair in places, literally no amenities despite both the hotel site and capital one travel portal stating nothing of the sort. Confirmed there hasn’t been anything open since before COVID. False advertising at its most blatant. Confirmed with hotel of the exception to cancel my reservation to find alternative accommodations…called capital one and they opened a dispute with themselves to credit me back. Just recently the dispute was closed and I was re-charged the $500. Back and forth, back and forth…no exception and out the amount. Closed my account the same date. When closing…my offer: “if I spend $3000 in the next 2 months I get $200 in travel credit” Seriously, what the …I’m no longer tolerating just blatant ignorance to the issues. No more accounts with this bank.

I have attempted to use Capital One insurance twice and both times they were not able to find me another flight. They advertise the insurance as if your flight is cancelled within 24 hours of the flight, and you have to be somewhere on time, they will find you another flight. My son was coming home from college and he had to be back for class. His return flight was cancelled two hours before the flight and Capital One Travel could not find another flight. This also happened with my daughter and wife. My daughter had to be at a Volleyball game and their flight was cancelled and she missed the game because Capital One Travel could not find another flight. I love using Capital One Travel to book trips, but DO NOT GET THE INUSRANCE!!!

If I could give Capital One travel 0 stars I would. I have never in my life has such a difficult time with a credit card travel agency. I cancelled a flight and have credit to use on rebooking - should be pretty straightforward. But I've spent hours on the phone and every time I call I get a new booking stipulation or excuse. And the fight price they're offering is 2x more than direct through airline. Even pushing through to the supervisor gets me nowhere. Enough to make me want to cancel my Capital One card even though this service is clearly outsourced.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. If you use the travel portal to book any travel making any changes will result in hours of frustrating phone calls that will likely not result in any changes actually being made. Every single interaction with these people has been AWFUL. I've been lied to, given incorrect information multiple times. I will be cancelling my card as soon as I've used my remaining points. They are just awful.

Maybe I should have checked the reviews before using this app. Used this app to try to book an international stay for three, and they recommended me rooms for only one traveler. Now I have over $1000 booked into a room that CAPITAL ONE SUGGESTED. Why are you suggesting rooms that wouldn’t fit the number of people I’m inquiring about???

Run for your life! I prepaid to book a hotel in Mexico City with my credit card on Capital One Travel. When I got to the hotel they told me that they hadn’t received payment. I called Capital One and spoke to an Asian woman IN Asia and her voice had a five second delay which made it extremely difficult to communicate. After keeping me on the line for 45 minutes she tells me that they did pay and that that was all she could tell me. The next day I spoke with reservations at the hotel who confirmed that they hadn’t received payment. I called again and spoke with Kevin. I think they only have a few people working there because I’ve spoken with these same two before. Kevin tells me he has to look into it and will call me back within the hour. 3 hours later Kevin called me back saying he couldn’t get an answer. The he says….get this…. “What I am going to do now is email the hotel and ask them to send proof that we paid them.” WHAT?! But they say you didn’t pay them. I couldn’t believe how dumb this was. To be at the hands of such ignorant people is demeaning. So now I’m still here and had to pay for the hotel twice and will deal with it when I get home. I swear they pay these people that they outsource to just BS you and say “I understand and I am sore” but who cannot do a thing. It’s AWFUL. Capita One should be shamed of themselves.

I made the mistake of booking a trip to the UK through Capital One Travel. Take my advice, DON’T DO IT. They misspelled my name so that it didn’t match my passport. They said they couldn’t fix it and that American Airlines had to fix it. American Airlines said Capital One Travel had to fix it. This left me no choice but to cancel my flights with American and receive a $1600 travel credit. Flights are now near $3000 for the same ticket. I’ve tried to write to the CEO of Capital One Travel and am unable to find a viable email address. Customer service is useless.
