I used Canyon Legal Group to help me out of debt during the pandemic and also while I was going through a divorce. I started paying more attention to my monthly statements when they tried to charge me again for an account that was already paid for. They corrected it. But, my biggest problem came last year when I was coming close to finishing the program. I asked for a pay off. They gave it to me and I assumed I was done. Come June(the last payment) I noticed no money was withdrawn from my account. I called customer service and no one could give me an explanation. Granted, I already had about $1200 invested in my last payment. After several conversations I was told someone was going to give me a call. Never happened. Then, Canyon suspended my account because they said I was late on my payment. No one called me or emailed me to notify me prior. They just suspended my account. After going round and round with a few customer service agent I decided to get back into the program to finish paying my last account. When I was finally allowed back into my account. The last account to be paid had a ZERO balance. Called Customer service again and they claim there was never any money in that account. The final straw was after about two months of paying them more money they took out a little over $500 for admin fees. Called customer service again and they claimed they always do that. Not true! They take out admin fees every month. So, Not only am I out of $1200 but also an admin fee that is ridiculous. Beyond upset!

So many layers and you can only speak with customer service. CS puts in a request for info and you never hear back from anyone.

All of the employees that answer the phone are always pleasant and helpful. Here is the problem, I sent in a lump sum the first part of December. I have been getting the runaround all of these months about getting “on it”. I have paid you to provide the services you promised. You have disappointed me in doing that. I’m in the process of speaking to my attorney to resolve this debt since you can’t seem to get it finished. Let down and angry!

Canyon were able to negotiate settlements for me. The time frame, initially estimated was exceeded substantially ( more than a year longer). The communication in the process was not satisfactory, no emails or calls on any reached settlements. I was provided with updates, only when I called. During two Summons & Complaints I received, I found little to no support from Canyon. My lump sum payment, to settle the open accounts, has been received by Canyon 7 weeks ago, but the accounts have not been settled to this day. I think agents are doing a good job, but the overall communication and response process and processing is not the best in the business. I made all payments on time, early and tried to get my life back in order as quickly as possible..... daily calls are part of my routine with them. In conclusion: if you are in a desperate situation, you can work with them, but be prepared it is not he greatest of services you will have to deal with. Regardless of what they say, you will have to take care of a lot of troublesome things yourself (letters to and appearance in Court, without support)

I do not think I accomplished anything with this call. I have been issued court papers on an account that I gave information of the court filing 7 months ago and for me to be served papers like nothing was done is very discouraging on wether or not I made a mistake on this program.

I am quickly losing my confidence..... The program started out well, but now that all of the litigation efforts are rolling in, and we have court dates set....nothing! I have to call and check on status. There is ZERO proactive outreach to the client (us). This is all very frustrating.

We have been dealing with a specific issue regarding a court summons since 8/5/19. NO ONE told us we should take it upon ourselves to correspond with the court and the lawyer on the summons until today, the letter is due Sunday and we have to drop one off at the court house. We have been in contact with Canyon weekly to biweekly and told that it will be reviewed by the legal dept. Today, the last person we spoke with, Tammy, was the most helpfu. She has offered to keep checking and keep us updated and we will be asking for her when we have further needed contacts. VERY frustrating and upsetting. Communication is so very important and we did not have this.

Their communication to the client is very poor. I've sent them notices that I receive and get back replies" we have received the correspondences you submitted to us. Please allow 48 business hours for us to update our records". I never hear back from them. I don't receive regular updates so not sure what is going on with my account. Very very poor communication to their clients.....
