Trust pilot only lets you go to 1 star, but this company needs negative stars. SO we bought multiple services from them, topped up about $100 dollars, and everything worked fine until about one week had went by. We received a message saying "our payment gateway has flagged you as suspicious bla bla bla" (after reading forums they do this to pretty much every customer so dont believe this crap) asking for a bunch of information about us and sensitive documents. Also information about who owns our company. We then asked cal hippo who owns call hippo. No response. It turns out it is a secret delaware shell company set up with a nominee law office with the intention of keeping the owners secret. They got a lot balls asking for our details after taking our money, when they are unwilling to provide their own owners information. They dont mention any details about why the account was closed, but it seems we have lost 100$ and some missed calls. They have customer support in India, that doesnt answer direct messages, only with pre-canned responses looks like we need to join forces to get a class action lawsuit going against this company.

Fake company. Just pay the money and forget about it. That's all.

Join, only if you want to be hit by hidden charges. I joined up to call hippo after their site claimed "Call from [local number] for just $6". I looked at the basic user package, priced clearly at $0 per month, with a free soft phone, free forward to device. This seemed perfect for my needs, so I joined up. I looked at the Pricing pages before I joined and saw nothing to suggest these prices should differ. Yet, as soon as I subscribed and paid for my package, I see that there's no possible way to use the service without a minimum $30 fee. Any forwarded calls are charged, not free as their User Package page states. I've since complained and suffered from next-to-hopeless customer services. So if you're considering joining up, there will be hidden fees, and they won't tell you them until you've paid *something* for the service.

Going back and forth with a bunch of different business phone systems on the web, CallHippo was the best one in my experience. Not only are the staff available 24/7 and eager to help, but the features and app are very friend and easy to use. Prices are also affordable with credit and plans flexible. Lastly, there is a wide selection of numbers to choose from, i also like a large selection!

Please do yourself a favour and stay away from callhippo. I ported over my Australian number as I was spending a lot of time overseas and wanted to be reachable at all times, even when I had a local simcard in my phone. Service was very poor for every call even when in fast WiFi, even when on the phone to callhippo! The phone app is extremely glitchy, to the point where I could often not make calls, or once started was not able to end them, or had to reset my phone to exit a frozen app (more often than not when ending a call). Now trying to port out my number, which they ensured was a basic and easy process when deciding of I should port in, and it is proving impossible. Looks like there is a high chance I will have to replace the number that I have had for the last 15 years. Without exaggerating I have spent at least twice as much time talking to customer support as I have actually using the phone (I had the service for 3 months). Must be 60+ hours taking to customer service.

Some companies really try their best to make the world a better place by providing quality service. Some people just want to see the people they serve burn. The World of Tech ! What a terribly magnificent future. I don't know what these guys do but its definitely not phone systems.

Total Scam. They hide the cancel account link under a pop up. I cancelled before the new billing cycle but got charged anyway.

Really bad service, one buys a package and needs additional money to be able to use this package afterwards, no money back only empty promises, in my eyes fraudulent.
