Since the merger, I can't get any service. I had a password problem on the weekend. No customer service until the next "banking day." That turned out to be Tuesday. Forget the website "self service." I had business to take care of at that time. I took my business to another bank. Now I have been on hold with Cadence "customer service." Unfortunately, I only get an hour for lunch.

Worst bank i have ever dealt with
Worst bank i have ever dealt with! Between terrible service, bad attitudes. And plain incompetence it is a shame they bought out such a good reliable bank. I never have a good thing to say about this bank.

Without notice I was told they closed…
Without notice I was told they closed by account because a panel of officers decided to do that because my business has recieved too many returned checks from customers so they closed the account without notice. This bank is the worst and NEVER DO BUISNESS with them ever

Just unprofessional to deal with
Just unprofessional to deal with. If there was a website that was "Don't do business here.com" Cadence Bank would be on that list. Too much drama to detail all the issues here. Just go to another bank.

A very week bank
In all my years of banking, the cadence bank takes the cake! This is the worst bank that I have ever seen! Horrible customer service, charging redicculous fees, continuously putting a lock on your account! They cannot compete with the other banks! If I could give them 1/2 star I would...

Closed My Account After 20 Years — Stuck in the Past on Crypto
After twenty years of banking with Cadence, they abruptly terminated my relationship because I sent and received funds through Coinbase, a regulated U.S. exchange registered with the SEC and FinCEN. There was nothing illegal, no fraud, no suspicious activity, just normal financial transactions that any modern institution should understand.
Cadence actually told me they “do not engage in crypto activities,” as if simply moving money to or from a licensed exchange somehow violates their moral code. That’s not policy, that’s ignorance. The rest of the financial world, including Congress and major banks, is working toward responsible crypto adoption and regulation. Meanwhile, Cadence acts like the internet just arrived last week.
After twenty years of trust, I was treated like a liability for participating in an industry that’s shaping the future of finance. This bank is a complete joke, stuck in the past, punishing customers for being ahead of the curve. If you believe your money should be yours to move freely and responsibly, do yourself a favor and bank somewhere else.

The right bank with the right people
I have been with Cadence since before the merger and I am very satisfied with the tellers and management. I can go in there and these ladies will already have my account pulled up and ready. They are always very respectful to me and ask about my children when I'm inside. I don't want to do business with any other banking system except Cadence. Thank you guys!!!!!

Cadence lost my DOB
Cadence took over my old bank in a merger. When I tried to register for Cadence’s online banking, I kept getting a “sorry, call customer support to enroll” message. So I called. And called. And made an in person visit (about 15 miles one way) to activate my account. I still couldn’t get in. I finally discovered Cadence didn’t have my date of birth on file. Which I proved to my previous bank when I opened my account, you can’t have a bank account without a date of birth, no bank is allowed to do this. Somehow Cadence had “lost” my date of birth.
I finally made another in-person trip to show my ID in an attempt to clean up Cadence bank’s serious oversight. I then waited a couple of days, and still couldn’t access online banking.
I finally asked them to close the account and send me a check. They didn’t reply. Several days passed. I got nervous about my check being lost or stolen, so I logged back into the system. There was no record of my request. I got REALLY nervous. I then discovered the messaging system did not record my sent messages, which is completely insane.
I called customer service, which couldn’t contact whatever department was responsible for cutting and mailing my check. So I had no idea if they had sent my check, or not, or if it was lost, somewhere in the mail, or what.
I finally did get the check, and thankfully cut all ties with Cadence bank forever—after about two months of being unable to withdraw any of my funds. Solely due to their error.
The customer service people and branch managers and lower level employees were great. But the people in charge of the bank’s systems aren’t. Do not deal with Cadence bank.
